The way dokja's expression is unreadable when surrounded by the smiling faces of his companions here... It conveys something so lonely; although he's surrounded by the story he loves - the people he cherishes - he can only ever see himself as an outsider. This wall designed to protect him means he can only ever view the world as a "reader". A distant observer, even when present. And then you realise... That's how it's always been.

During their first year James, Sirius and Peter noticed that Remus often didn't eat breakfast (he was tired and woke up just in time to get to class so he didnt have time) and he would get cranky and tired throughout the day, so one day James woke up extra early to get some toast, jam and peanut butter from the dinning haul and he left it next to Remus' bed for when he wakes up and when he did Remus started sobbing cause it was the first time he realised that someone (besides his parents) actually cares about him and his well being, something that he never thought he was worthy or capable of receiving. It hurt that they didn't know he was a werewolf yet because all he could think was that he was taking advantage of their kindness and that they wouldn't be this nice, they would be disgusted if they knew his true nature
