This is explained a bit in her backstory; but because Lily didn't go through with killing the prince to return to her life as a mermaid; her curse wasn't broken and so while she can shift her tail into human legs it is still very painful as is walking on them in general. The description from the story being "like walking on sharp knives", and indeed it can cause her feet to bleed.
However because the loss of her voice was not a part of the curse but rather the payment to attain the potion; when she was changed from a human/mermaid to a wind sylph her voice was restored and she has been able to speak normally since that day.
What would Lily's ideal weather be, and why? Does she have a favorite season?
Spring is her favorite but summer is a close second. She loves seeing all the blooming flowers and new baby animals that come with spring time and really enjoys how mild the weather is.
Then in the summer a lot of the flowers turn to delicious fruits, which is almost as nice as the flowers. She even likes the warm weather as long as she can get to some water or shade when she needs to.
Like I said above; she likes the spring weather where it's not freezing but not excessively hot either. The times when she can lay out on some grass or in a bed of wildflowers and soak in the sun with a nice cool breeze are definitely her favorites.
How does Lily handle disappointment?
Not horribly, but then it depends on how big the disappointment is. She certainly cried a lot when she realized her prince was in love with someone else.
But for minor/average things she'll feel down for a while but eventually has to try and pick herself up again, not wanting to wallow in it too long.
At the very least I want to say she doesn't fall into toxic positivity habits ahaha
To add a note about that season headcanon:
There are things Lily likes about Fall and Winter as well, though winter is by far her least favorite just because of how cold it is.
But with fall the weather is mild in a slightly different way than spring; and she will never say no to any apple product she can get her little claws on. Cidar, pie, candied, fresh off the tree? She'll take it all.
