Additionally on 🕊️’s thought, if void is so light that means Hollow is def top heavy because of their mask alone not being pure void.

And I imagine their mask is a solid weighty amount. Like. Their head is huge. Canonically it is one hornet tall. That’s like. 5 feet of mask on the very least. If even it’s hollow/full of void. That’s still a decent amount of mask material.

In theory if you could get Hollow off balance they’ll fall like a tree. Absolutely eat shit. It’s just hard to do so because they’re strong and just. Hardly move if they don’t want to be moved. And also I imagine a lot of their training was “alright people might try to get you off balance to gain the upper hand. Don’t.”

Part of my headcanons is that they're incredibly easy to carry and manhandle if they let you. They're stupidly strong, which you wouldn't expect from somebody so light, and if they're stubborn about staying somewhere no force in the world is going to move their lanky body out of the way.

Also, they probably learned to easily catch themself if they ever trip or they'd absolutely wreck their shit if they fall

Spoilers for mostly Hollow Knight and Mother 3 below

I don't think its as much soulless Characters as much as it is characters who Pretend to, or are forced to be soulless

Actually there are a lot of characters here who are in their own unique situations but have many similarities despite being completely different characters.

The one who fits the best into being Soulless is THK (The Hollow Knight), but they're not soulless at all. The whole point of their story was that they weren't Hollow. They were created by the Pale King as a soulless vessel to contain the Radiance within them. And it would've worked too if it weren't for the fact that they weren't actually Hollow. Were not sure why but it could be that they developed a parental bond with the Pale King. But I'm not a Lore expert, go watch Mossbag. Anyways while cut content shouldn't be considered canon THK has a few cut dreamnail lines.

In the THK fight the cut dreamnail lines are:

...Shall blaze free...

...This Vessel, broken...fails...

...Dawn...Shall break...

...No mind, the usurper...Only strength...

...Kill the usurper...Our light it would suffocate...

So all the first ones are obviously the Radiance leaking through, but the last one is clearly THK. So the considered the Pale King to be their father, even going as far as to call out/hallucinate him? Even after all that he did to them. But again this is cut content and is therefore not canon

Im going to stop rambling about THK here since this is all commonly known knowledge in the Hollow Knight Fandom

The next one to be most Soulless is Claus but he was brainwashed into being a mindless obedient Cyborg for Porky. He isn't Soulless just mind controlled.

The list goes on

Sunny isnt Soulless he's Severely traumatized

Edgeworth isn't Soulless just also traumatized

Dave (DSAF) isnt soulless just... Well- I mean I guess theres an argument there but I'm talking about flip side Dave in DSAF 3 and he's literally a soul there so yeah, not soulless.

Also Brainwashing seems to be a big theme in here, dunno what thats about. Dedede gets Brainwashed like 10 times can't the dude catch a break.

So anyways, what I'm seeing here upon closer inspection at all these characters is a theme and 2 categories

The First Category is Characters who are in a situation where they are forced to act differently to how they would normally or if they had a full perspective on the situation

And

The Second Category

The Silly characters :)

Who I like cause they're silly :)

And almost all of them have some kind of Daddy/Mommy issues :)

That or Fraternal issues

Of course the categories do overlap with a couple of characters but thats about as close as I can get

Anyways thank you for coming to my TEDtalk if you even read this far which to be honest is quite unlikely. I just like talking about my faves. I could talk more about them but I'd need a topic and such and I don't think anyone's really here to watch me ramble on

On the unlikely occasion that anyone actually sees this and is interested tho just send me an ask and give me a character (preferably one from the list or a character from the fandom that the characters from the list are from(god thats a confusing sentence)) and a topic and I'll make another one of these again. I really could talk more about all of the Characters up there just don't have any ideas for how.

So about my interests

I realized that I never really said a thing about them, and I have a wide variety of them. So for the sake of simplicity Ive made a little thing. Most of my favorite characters :D That should give you a pretty good read on my Personality maybe. I know I'm probably missing some but these are the ones I could remember at the moment. It's all my Lil guys from across most of my fandoms. No, I do not take critizism moving on.

I finally beat HK in Hollow Knight on Switch!

I beat HK the second try I did, and I am proud! Got The Hollow Knight ending! 27th of January, 2023!

I’ve had Hollow Knight for a little over a year, and you’d probably expect me to have already done this… But no.

When I first played through Hollow Knight, I ended up exploring everywhere, getting pretty much every item and fighting every boss except HK. Even if I did fight HK, I would have gotten the Sealed Siblings ending.

But before I even got to fight HK my game crashed hardcore and wouldn’t open for months and I was heartbroken

I did end up getting Hollow Knight for my laptop during the months I couldn’t open my Switch version… but I hated the controls and only got as far as Fungal Wastes.

I thankfully fixed my Switch version in November/December of 2022, and have been on-and-off playing it since. And today I beat HK!

I beat HK second try with a not so great charm build, but I did it!

Charms I used were:

Grubsong

Steady Body

Shaman’s Stone

Quick Slash

Baldur Shell

Not the best build, but it got me there :)

But I’m proud of my journey, and the struggles I had to get to beating this game.

Getting the first ending of the game, I thought I would have struggled with the final boss for the ending. But I got it second try.

Even then, I’ve noticed I’ve improved so much since my first playthrough.

I can do Hornet 1 hitless and Hornet 2 without dying, I can do pogos and skips (i do the Fireball/Squit skip up to Hornet every time now), I can navigate without the Wandering Compass, I don’t die as much when facing bosses (with doing some without dying), I’ve gained the stupidity to fight Brooding Mawlek before False Knight, and so on.

I’m not as great of a player as other Hollow Knight players, but I’m happy with my improvement. Even when I originally played the game, I did have another save I would play on and off, and even then, it measured my process of improvement.

I still dread the thought of getting to the Pantheons, but that’s a bridge I’ll cross later. Also Steel Soul Mode is a terrifying thought and won’t do that anytime soon.

Now onwards to continue my story of Hollow Knight!
