Samuel x reader homesick

Kinda short

Summery- you where traveling with Samuel like usual and the nights are getting colder so you cuddle with him one night to stay warm!!

Warnings- swearing, no use of y/n, pretty gn i think, probably spelling errors, before rain (idk how to spell her name-) met him

You joined Samuel a while ago when he was in a tough spot with a merk and you saved him so he let you tag along with him, (totally not because he thought you where cute or anything-) anyways, you and Samuel where currently in some old store for food

"Find anything?"

"A few things of can'd food and some old plastic water bottles so far"

"Thats good I guess all ive got are a few cans of food to"

You both continue to rumage around the old store being careful and alert for any merks

"Hey, we should get going before it gets to dark"

He said suddenly behind you scaring the shit out of you

"Sam! What the hell?! You scared m-mpff!"

He put his hand over your mouth shutting you up

"Quiet down! your gonna attract the merks!"

"Sorry"

You mumble pulling his hand away from your mouth with an apologetic smile making him tern away with an annoyed scoff

"Whatever- just put what you found in my bag for now and let's find some place to crash for the night-"

He said holding his bag out to you, he couldn't deny how cute your smile was and the way you held his hand for that breaf moment- he shook his head to clear his thoughts, while you had already took his bag and putting the food and water you found into it

"Alright let's go"

You pull his bag up over your shoulder and walking twords the entrance of the store

"I can carry that ya know"

"You carry it all the time it's no big deal honestly"

"........if you say so I guess"

He follows you out of the store quietly looking around for a while before finding some old apartment building to crash in for the night just before the sun set

You tossed the bag onto the table while he walked through the few rooms to make sure there were nomarks, you couldent deny it was already getting cold, and since the whole apocalypse and all- there really wasn't any heat in the building

"Ok, there's no merks in here so I think where safe for tonight- there's only one bed though but it's pretty big we can both fit"

"Great, let's eat then go to bed then"

You both ate some of the food you found today and went off to bed, even with the soft bed and blankets it was still a bit to cold for your liking so you where curled up trying to warm up

Samuel obviously noticed after a while the way you were constantly pulling the blanket around to warm up

"Hey, ya cold?"

He said after a while in a suprisingly quiet tone

"Hm? Oh ya but I'm fine it's not that cold"

You say with a small chuckle looking up at him, he stared at you for a long moment before grumbling with a faint blush as a thought came to mind and lifting his arm slightly

".......Come here"

"What...?"

"I said come here"

"Wh- I couldn't inlaid your personal space like that- I'm fine-"

"Do you wanna stay cold or warm up your pick"

You stare at him for a moment a blush forming on your cheeks preying it's to dark in the room to see it as you move closer into his arms and he pulls you closer his own face dusted pink with a blush

"....Better?"

"A lot actually...thanks"

And that's where you both stayed for the rest of the night in each other's arms, only because of the cold totally no hidden feelings at all-

you've been part of this group since before you met kenny and tomaha, unfortunately you met gressil to, he was always super creepy to you with his weird jokes and comments and you hated him after you escaped that house leaving gressil dead

Or so you thought, you where just as pissed as Samuel,rain (idk how to spell her name-), and tomaha was when they seen him in that arina and you where pleased of how Samuel left him after they fought to be honest but your luck must be against you since he somehow managed to join your group after you saved kenny and escape

"Hey, wanna play a game?"

He was currently sitting next to you in the back of the truck you were in, samuel was driving with tomaha,rain,and raven in the truck with him leaving you,gressil,oak and Kenny in the back of the truck

both Kenny and oak somehow managed to fall asleep leaving you stuck to deal with gresils shit alone and he really seemed to hate you since he always tried to stay by your side 24/7

"Not really"

"Aww why not? I'm so borreddd and your the only one back her that isn't sleeping"

"I don't feel like doing anything with you gressil"

"Your no fun, cant ya let loose a bit and not have a stick up your ass all the time like oak here?"

"Gressil I said no just the fuck up"

"Ok fine, fine...... your still no fun though"

And tha was the end of your conversation.....for about two minutes before the truck suddenly stopped in front of an old store, same and kenny both waking up to the truck doors shutting

"We need to gather food and supplies before we head out of the town"-samuel

"Ya it's a long ride to the next town we need to be prepared" -tomaha

"It'd be faster if we split up its a pretty decent sized store we can be in and out in less then an hour if we spilt up" -oak

"We should do teams of two just to make sure we don't get jumped by any merks" -rain

Samuel went with tain,tomaha went with raven,Kenny went with oak, and of course because the gods hate you, you got stuck with gressil

Currently you where in some food isle framing anything edible everyone's just in earshot of each other in case anything happens

"You think this is good?"

Gressil said holding up some random can of food his usual stupid smile

"I don't know look at the expiration date idiot"

"Come on cupcakes cant ya be a little nicer some times?"

He laughed a bit as he tossed the can into the shared backpack you where using to gather supplies then leaning on the wall/shelfs while you continued to look

".......do you think we'll run into more people in the next town?"

You didn't even look at him as you asked that you just wanted to lift some of the tension that was building up for some reason

"Most likely people are crazy"

"Just like you"

"Huh- hey!! I'm actually a very funny guy when I want to be!"

He said with mock offense gripping his shirt here his heart Is dramaticly making you chuckle slightly while rolling your eyes

"Your ridiculous"

"I'm funny though right?"

He says crossing his arms with his usual smile and you just scoff as you grab the backpack and walking away slightly smirking to yourself where gressil can't see

You both walked to the front of the store where the rest of you promised to meet uo after your bags where full, you and gressil weren't the first ones, Kenny and oak where already there talking to each other quietly as you walked over

Gressil butted into there conversation and you just sat there quietly thinking to yourself, that's when you realized you actually laughed with him a few minutes ago, you where laughing with a guy you thought you hated, you brushed it of as just being a normal conversation

"Come one guys let's get going" -kenny

Kenny pulled you out of your thoughts as you all got ready to go back to the truck with your supplies

Now it's was later at night you guys found some place to camp out in the forest, it was pretty late and it was your turn to keep watch, you where sitting next to the fire keeping it going to stay warm when you suddenly feel a tap on your shoulder

"GAH!!"

You jump and quickly turn around almost falling into the fire before grabes your shoulders and catches you, you look up to see gressils usual smile as he let's go of you and sits next to you laughing

"You should've seen your face! I can't believe I scared you that bad!"

"Shut up!! You scared the shit out of me! If I grabbed my knife I could've just stabed you dumbass!"

You felt your cheeks warm up you to took it as the heat from the firenothing else

"Ha! Ha!, it was still hilarious!"

You rolled your eyes and playfully nudged him not helping the smile forming on your face

"Har har, Why the hell are you up?"

"Can't sleep so I thought I'd keep ya company"

"Well you should try to fall asleep we still got a long road ahead of us"

"If I get to tired I'll sleep on the way, these idiots did"

He said pointing to oak and kenny, he was right they where sleeping in the truck before you stopped at that old store

You sighed

"I guess I can't make ya go to sleep"

"Thats right! And I'm sure it gets boring as fuck being on watch so we can keep each other company whatcha say?"

You roll your eyes and your face heats up more from his stupid grin and the way he looked in the fire glow, was he always this good looking and funny?

"I guess it could be nice to have someone to talk to.."

"Great!"

And after that being around him wasn't exactly the same he was funny and actually changing from being the creepy guy he was before, he might still need improvement but maybe he wasn't so bad now

this is set at the house where we first meet him in the comic you've been there for a few weeks now and kenny really liked you and somehow managed to get the boss (forgot his name) to let you stay alive without you knowing obv

Actual headcanons now lol

Its obviously gressil who gets a little to close to you for comfort

Kenny was just on his way back the his room which all the boys share when he sees you talking to gressil in the hall

He knows how gressil is but he didn't seem to be doing anything yet

He stayed around the corner to make sure nothing was going on and gressil wasn't threatening you or something like he did to tomaha

And it was ok for a while just some simple conversation about a upcoming mission or something but gressil put his arm around your shoulders mid conversation which you barly seemd to notice or mind

That was when kenny walked over with a smile but it obviously wasn't a kind one as he asks what's you guys are talking about

Gressil being gressil probably knows whats going on and is being the guy is is teasing him or pushing his boundaries

It's not long before kenny drags you away from gressil and tells you to stay away from him

After that he made sure gressil stayed far away from you

Samuel

Set in the place where they are tryna save kenny in that party thing before him and rain got captured (sorry idk how to spell her name)

He didn't have any care about this party at all

He just stood off in the corner away from the crowd with his arms crossed looking annoyed

Then he saw you in your gorgeous outfit put on the dance floor and he just watched you for a bit (not in a creepy way)

Not long after he seen some guy walk up to you and you both just talked at first

He acted like he didn't care at all, you are your own person after all you can talk to whoever

But once he seen this guy getting to close you and even putting hus hand on your side/hip he snapped

He quickly made his way over and pulled you away from the guy giving him a death glare and pulling you off the dance floor to a quieter spot

You where very confused and he knows that as he keeps his head turned away with a blush on his cheeks

It takes him a second to talk but when he does he just grumbles how that guy was being a creep and how he was getting to close to you

Then he stays by your side for most the night (basically until he got kidnapped with rain-)

Oak

This is set at the same time as samuels exept it's before rain and them where all kidnapped or even there at all the boss guys hosting a party that your both at

He isn't really dancing or anything he's more like a security guard and watching the party

But after a while he sees that you showed up and he kina watches you for a while as you dance and have fun

He quickly notices when some guy started talking to you and the way he was smiling and looking at you was unsettling to oak

Once this guy made one step to close you tou for comfort he left his post and walked over to you and the weird man

When he got there the guy and his hand on your hip and oak pulled you away from him with a mean glare

Before you could even say anything oak was dragging you away and pulled you into one of the empty hallways

He looks at you with a serious face and quickly notices your confused look

Then he explains that the guy was getting way to close you you and you probably tease him figuring out he's jealous lol

Then he convinces you to stay by him the rest of the night and you both have a good time

He probably also glares at the creepy guy anytime he sees him not where you see ofcourse

You look at him shocked the guy who deliberately tryed to kill you guys wanted to hear what was bothering you? Where you hearing wrong?

Ok he really did at this point you didn't know what to think, was thus a trick? What's his plan? Is he going to use this against you? ......was he actually concerned...?

Honestly he didn't even know why he was asking you anything in the first place or why he even *cared* and yet here he was asking you if you wanted to talk about your thoughts
