It’s August so I’m revisiting some of the middle grade books I love here’s a list of the ones that I still think about

Because duh I loved Greek mythology even before reading this so I was always going to like it
- literally any Carl Hiaasen book
Chomped is my favorite they are filled with cool animal facts with a focus on preserving nature-mostly take place in Florida

Twisted fairy tales in a modern setting the main character is very not like other girls but she can’t really help that she was written by a man
- doll bones by holly black (yes the fairy lady)
Cute coming of age book with a hunted china doll, I’ve always loved the old china dolls so it was nice to have a book about a non evil one
- the iron trial (I literally can never spell the name of the series) also by holly black and someone else???
I loved the main character it’s like harry potter meets avatar but it’s less homophobic and has more representation ( I still think the main character is gay)
