England has all sorts of protective sigils tattooed on him, and maybe something on the palms of his hands to help him do magic wherever he is, without all his equipment. Also he has a pentagram specifically on the back of his shoulder, idc which one just one of them.

No fr, the amount of memes that already exist, but as the nations? That would be so funny! i feel like when it come to America, I do feel like the older generations are a little iffy about him, but America would definitely have a respectful moment and talk to them about the early/mid-20th century with the excitement of a child

I wonder what the regular people in Hetalia think about the personifications. Do Italians even like Mr. North Italy or do they prefer Mr. South Italy more? What about the Russians, do they like Ivan at all? I think the British are indifferent towards Arthur, it's like a "Oh yeah, that's Mr. England and he lives over there. He asked my nan for sugar once." ,,, We already know that people know about Francis and see him as a neighborhood celebrity of sorts. As for America I like to think people are pretty divided about him, with the younger generations liking him bc he acts like a jackass and the older generations hating him because he acts like a jackass. Do they have "me at the bottom of the Mariana's Trench looking for Alfred F. Jones' middle name" meme like how we have "me looking for Obama's last name" memes? 😭

The first time that England hated blond people was also the first time that he hated himself. He was running, trying to catch his brothers and he wondered "is this the meaning of family?" "helplessly trying to be loved?". He got his answer hours later when they try to drown him for the first time. That is when he saw it. His reflection on the river. He saw his green eyes, his pale skin and his blond hair. He saw everything that he wasn't and everything that he should be. And then he hated himself. And then he blamed himself. He blamed on himself that his brothers didn't love him, he blamed on himself that he could never have a family, he blamed on himself that his mother always looked at him pity. And then he hated his brothers. And then hated what it meant to live.

The second time that he hated blond people was when he discovered that Germania was his father. He had just been captured by Rome. He had just seen his mother bleed to death.

Some headcanons for America/Canada

• He is fluent in almost every language and his pronunciation is perfect.

•Canada is the only one who knows this. He also knows that America never speaks the languages because no matter what the other countries will insult him on anything and everything he does. Canada knows it affects America a lot, but he pretends it doesn’t. The “Hero” personality is mostly a front in many ways.

•Among the languages America uses regularly is ASL. America unconsciously signs when his emotions are extreme, good or bad, and on occasion when he’s in deep thought. He likes to sign along to songs. He doesn’t really notice he’s doing it.

•Canada is fluent in ASL. He can gauge his brothers mood based on this.

•They use ASL to communicate when they don’t want the other countries to know what they’re talking about. (It drives the other countries absolutely crazy.)

•If you ask America what his favorite movie is he’ll say Captain America (anything Marvel actually) or The Princess Bride. His real favorite movies are, Saving Mr. Banks, Steel Magnolias, Lilo and Stitch, and Up. He will never admit to liking those movies or to having seen any of them.

•America suffers from BPD, ADHD, BP-2. He’s lived with it his whole life. He learned early on how to hide it and lives by the motto “Fake it til you make it.” That’s why his “hero” persona seems forced sometimes. (Only England and Canada know about this. They don’t really talk about it. America doesn’t know that they know.)

•America loves that he now has a friend group! The Awesome trio just goofs around and just has fun together.

•America’s favorite person to spend time with is England. He will drop everything or bail on any other plans he has in order to spend some time with England.

•He doesn’t express his emotions well and doesn’t really know how to tell the people in his life that he loves them. He tries to do acts of kindness to show how much he cares.

•Affection is his love language. Loves hugs and cuddles ect. But only does that with people he loves and trusts completely. (England, Canada, Japan)

I have more but I will save those for another day.

*As a side note, the ASL stuff is actually something I do and those disorders I listed are my own diagnoses. If you read about them or you look up common symptoms, you’ll get why I picked them for him, or at least I hope you will.

I was thinking about the song Savage Daughter. This song has been sung by so many artists but my favorites are by Ekaterina Shelehova and The Smoking Flowers.

I think this song is fitting for NyoAmerica before England found her, when she still lived with Native America.

Maybe someday I’ll write a song fic. Let me know if you’d be interested in something like that.
