Summary:

The Master planned for every circumstance except this one. The Doctor was supposed to regenerate into him; they were not supposed to swap bodies. The TARDIS arrives before he has time to mourn his plan, but a new one forms the moment a bewildered Yaz rushes towards him with open arms.

The Doctor was too weak to reciprocate the human's feelings. If he's going to ruin her reputation, he may as well break her hearts in the process.

Notes:

Yeah, I couldn't leave Power of the Doctor as it was. Yaz and the Doctor deserved their happy ending! But it's me, so they also deserve to get traumatised first. This is very much a fix it as in "these two characters should have kissed on screen", but also how I would fix the plot of the episode to make it a bit more interesting. I only have a vague plan for this so can't promise regular updates, but I haven't been able to stop thinking about Them since sunday, so they should come quick!
