Okay but real talk, in the very early stories of King Arthur and Merlin, Morgan Le Fay (who was the basis for Morgana in the BBC series), was characterized as a benevolent enchantress who helps Arthur. It is only in later versions of the story when, primarily due to sexism, Morgan is said to be evil (and in love with Merlin, but that’s a whole other story). This means, that there was absolutely NO reason that Morgana in BBC Merlin had to become evil. They could have just as easily brought back the ORIGINAL idea of a benevolent sorceress who helps Arthur!
