hi so i volunteer at a camp and here are some of today’s most memorable quotes. (for reference, these are coming from rising 4-5 graders)

-“throw that at me!” (about scissors)

-“you know i think that might be illegal”

-“tag, no tag backs” “actually i can do whatever i want so i can do tag backs” “oh”

-(so we were building towers using blocks and the tallest fell down and everyone else cheered and the kid who built it just started sobbing)

-kid: “can i have a receipt?” me: “for what?” kid: “idk it doesn’t matter i just like receipts” (i give him an old starbucks receipt) kid: “muahahaha i know your starbucks card number! it’s XXXXXXXXXXX062!” (yes he literally said ex ex ex ex….)

-kid joining game of tag: “who’s it?” other kid coming up and tagging him: “you”

-kid playing tag and falls down: “can someone give me a hand” other kid: “sure!” (helps him up) kid who fell down: “tag you’re it!”
