Hua Cheng is no stranger to nightmares.

Not even Ghost Kings are exempt — especially considering the ordeals one must go through to become a Ghost King in the first place.

Whenever a nightmare does come about for him, though, it is horribly frustrating. Because they are a reminder that there is a part of him that still suffers weakness; when he thought that he ensured that every inch and drop of that vile attribute was burnt to ash and cinders as he paved his way to becoming Crimson Rain Sought Flower.

(Or, Hua Cheng has a nightmare which reminds him of just how much he detests the attribute of weakness, and thus a bad day follows suit. Xie Lian is there to remind him that he does not have to suffer alone, and that his pain is just as important, and sometimes, being strong is not the most important thing you can do for someone.)
