just got to this part in the gameplay and yeah, I do not like him!!!! like, it used to be just a "oh, you're a cool character." I wouldn't move worlds for him, but after he made Ellie go after Abby? mm-mm, he is no longer cool to me. you can clearly see that Ellie's contemplating it, like, she doesn't necessarily want to, but maybe it'll help her grief. so now that Tommy brought up where she is? after Ellie had a ptsd attack? of course she's gonna go after Abby. I feel like she wants the pain to stop and that's the only thing she can think of that would help.

the fact that Tommy was okay with Abby living. and then 180'd when Ellie was okay-ish with her living. game Tommy, I am in your walls. she was finally healing, as best she could :( and then YOU CAME IN AND MADE HER GO BACK :(((((

i love show tommy gabriel luna my beloved but game tommy?????? no NOT ANYMORE and i get its probably his way of dealing with his grief too but hes forcing that onto ellie wow isnt that ironic abby forced her grief of her dad onto ellie and now tommys forcing his grief onto her too didnt realize that until now actually thats kinda shitty really hoping they change this for the show like sure still have ellie go after abby if need be but dont make tommy do it please??¿? dont ask me who to have do it just not tommy the last of us tlou tlou hbo tlou2 cw grief this isnt an ouchie revelation but ouchie revelation for continuity purposes rambling menace

What are your thoughts on them making Tommy and Maria parents in the show?

I wonder if it’ll affect the estrangement storyline at all, maybe Joel and Ellie will be forced to see each other more with this kid in their lives

I think I'm biased because I like the show better, but I really like the fact they made Tommy and Maria parents

I hope it changes some things tbh I don't think Tommy would make Ellie go back after Abby, since he has a kid. he wouldn't send his kid out, so he shouldn't send Ellie out. I hope this makes Joel and Tommy closer, too. I'm probably a bit delusional because of fics, but I hope Tommy having a kid helps Joel heal a little bit, cause he probably hasn't held a baby in 30+ years. and if he has a girl? that looks like Sarah? I hope there is some healing involved. I think it would change the estrangement, too. I imagine Ellie would babysit the kid and Joel would just stop by periodically, and maybe that's when Ellie realizes why Joel did what he did. there was no malice behind his actions; he was just trying to protect his kid. maybe (again, I am delulu) the estrangement is shortened because of this, too. there'd still be resentment and maybe some off days, but I think Ellie might forgive him a bit earlier

no malice behind his actions being towards ellie btw he didnt mean to take away the possibility of a cure from her he just didnt want another dead daughter there was no nice way to say that sorry idk if ellie would babysit but i also dont know when she would see the baby if she didnt so she is now the built in cousin babysitter and maybe doing that will heal her a bit too cause wtf knows what all happened at that orphanage idk who would have ellie go back after abby but please dont be show tommy i love show tommy and it felt a bit out of character for game tommy?? so yeah maybe he isnt the one to send her out but i do appreciate the fact they made them parents cause this also gives maria the chance to heal too i stop rambling now rambling menace the last of us tlou2 spoilers menace answers
