Impulse laid in the center of the cage. If he moved too far to any side, then his prison would rock and make a loud jingling noise that would irritate his stunned brain. Also, if his cage made any noise, then the shrieker below would shriek and summon a warden.
Lore bits and overall thoughts underneath cut:
The drawing that I’ve been teasing about these past couple of days. So, what’s the background that I covered up? A cave, of course. I covered it up with the cage itself.
I probably didn’t need too, but I tend to put way too much effort into these big drawings. But, I am extremely proud of this.

Now for the lore:
When everyone arrives in Empires, they were briefly together and confused. Before any plan could be discussed and before they could retreat back home, each hermit was grabbed and yanked through another portal.
Impulse, dazed, sick, and confused, wound up outside of Animalia. In fear, he found himself backed into a corner by a frightened Lizzie and Fwhip. The two manage to calm him down, with the weird beverage and food, causing him to mellow out enough to follow their words.
So, Impulse’s hands are cuffed together, and he’s led by sword point to the cage and dropped inside. And now, he’s in a feverish haze within his dangling prison.
