worldbuilding hcs are so underrated tbh like yes i kno if its a big enough hc it will be non canon complient but its fun to think abt
like in riptide my hc is that there is a booming city in horsea that utilizes the combustion of black sand so frequently for its technology (factories, vehicles, etc) that it has earned the ironic nickname "the silent city"bcos its so loud a majority of the people there are either constantly using earplugs, hoh, or deaf -- meaning everyone has to communicate using sign. its a city where both common and sign are official languages, and common is only rlly an official lang there bcos its the official lang of horsea overall
also hc that gillion and caspian speak different dialects of aquan -- gillions dialect is recognized as the "official" dialect and thus is what most oversea people r taught in school but caspians dialect is the one most commonly encountered by sailors

These are the finished cards so far for the tarot deck I’m making that will actually go on sale 😊🔮 the lighting makes it look a little bit yellow but hopefully you get the idea. Each card has its own page in my sketchbook so it’s hard to get consistent photos.
The entire deck is going to be in this colour scheme of purples, blacks and white, and I really wanted to stick to the hand drawn look without accidentally copying the Wild Unknown deck. I really like the watercolour backgrounds so I’m planning to do more of those.
I will be fixing some stuff in photoshop like adding some simple backgrounds where I didn’t want to mess up the drawing (knight of swords) and cleaning up any little mistakes. I’m also going to redraw that snake’s head on the Wheel of Fortune card.
This is already really long so I won’t go into each card, but for more info on the meanings and decisions behind each card send me an ask and I’ll do a separate post on it. It will be a full 78-card deck in a box with a booklet, which I’m planning to sell for £40 for everything ($53 depending how much the booklet costs to print and how in-depth it is). I’m still working on the pricing as well so please let me know what you’d usually pay for a full deck with box and booklet.
