I think this song really is the backbone of the Crimson Idol album
in that it explicitly tells you all that Jonathan has ever really wanted
not fame not fortune not sex drugs or rock n roll
but to be LOVED.
really truly LOVED.
this is so hard for me to listen to even on a good day
you can really hear the pain in Blackies voice and I like that the vocals go from smooth in the verses to rougher in the chorus
