Chapter 1 Preview: Ryujin was ringing up Yeji’s purchase at the front when she noticed. To be honest, she was surprised she hadn’t clocked it earlier. She was handing the book back over the counter and Yeji’s hands came up to take it, her nails cut in an unmistakable pattern. On her left hand, the nails were cut extremely short, and on the right, they were long and finely filed at an angle Ryujin knew all too well, with only the pinky nail cut short to match the left hand.
