wait....... i might be going speculation crazy............ but you know the term 'blood from a stone'.... what if this is basically what was happening with marika's imprisonment... the GW was essentially stuck with marika after the shattering, they kept her imprisoned (and tortured? she was impaled) for millennia but couldn't do much except punish her, maybe try to understand her motivations, whether she was in on the dire plot... IDK IM TWEAKING IMTWEAKING

has there been any speculation about why marika/radagon appear to be made of stone? it doesn’t seem like this was always the case from depictions of them in paintings, i wonder if it happened post-shattering… if the cinematic is to be trusted they weren’t made of stone when the shattering happened. wonder what that’s about
