hey since ur like one of maybe like three tumblr pages that cares about ikenfell in existence, i wanna hear why Pertisia is ur favorite character over all the rest

Spoilers ahead, Pertisia is just plain amazing a deconstruction of a classic archetype that’s full of depth, from the reveal that her inability to make new friends is a defense mechanism from her PTSD to her willingness to relive the worst event of her entire life because she doesn’t want to make Aeldra suffer by unleashing the contents of the cauldron on her, also the fact that she’s part of the amazing epilogue and ends up with my other favorite character Maritte, Pertisia is just a perfect storm of traits for my personal tastes,

same anon from previous. Pertisia was actually a character i did not care for at all at the beginning, but this game with its character development changed that much later. like in the beginning she seems like an ass (and also revealed Safina perhaps wasn't the best person) but when you understand the reasoning it becomes a totally different story. so i think a running theme of ikenfell here is character development... i saw many of them so differently compared to the start and end of the game

The main character development for Pertisia was becoming able to open up to others revealing the truth to them, she was always this hero, but her fear of getting hurt made her drive everyone away until she was ready to let them in and tell her story, it’s an amazing piece of narrative, 

Also the game always makes sure to make Pertisia’s stance about Safina feel like their is some logic there, it’s never just her blindly hating her, there is always some evidence to back up Perty’s views, and her willingness to belive in Safina going full evil makes sense once you rember that Safina has been casually using the spell that resulted in Perty being maimed with her other friends for years constantly putting them in grave danger to just sneak out of the school, demonstrating the sheer extent of Saf’s recklessness and ego,

Honestly this scene and confession is actually very cute i just found the fact Bax just woke up from being dead, saw Iben in a possessed rampage and nearly about to cause the literal apocalypses because of his death, was chill as all hell about the fact that was going on, and then proceeded to fix this issue through a confession of love to be hilarious somehow XDDD

Bax i am concerned, how often does stuff like this happen to you for you to be THIS calm about it?
