I started reading Ilona Andrews' books and lemme say....SO FUCKING GOOD. so good. Reading slump? OVER. Depression? CURED!! Skin? well that's still meh BUT WHATEVER!!!! NEW BOOKS TO READ NEW CHARACTERS TO SHIP NEW MAGIC SYSTEMS TO EXPLORE!!!

I've binged the first 7 Kate Daniels books and I have thOUGHTS!

Initially, I wasn't a big fan of Kate. I don't love the "badass snarky woman who doesn't need anyone" trope, but as the series progressed, I found myself loving her more and more. Her background (Voron, specifically) endeared me to her, but more than that, her found family and the love she has for them sealed the deal. Love this series. So far there are ZERO misses in the Ilona Andrews' collection. I know some spoilers for the series and Julie's spin-off (please please please let her and Derek be in love forever and have beautiful babies). I'm already so sad to say goodbye to these characters.
