Happy mother's day

Leonidas got up out of bed. Everything felt cold today, despite it being nice and warm in the house. They huffed as the bed creaked under them. They made their way to the bathroom taking a warm shower. It failed to improve their mood, but at least they were clean now.

After applying their makeup, they picked out an outfit. They choose a black dress with a black scarf for an updo. It was honestly a rather simple get up, but it works. They walked downstairs to their car. The sun was barely above the horizon. By time Leonidas got to their destination it was bright outside. It had been nearly a 2 hour trip. Then began the next part of their journey. Navigating past many trees to an open clearing Leonidas walked to a tombstone. It simply read Cameron Cavallo. Leonidas lay down a bunch of flowers.

"Hey momma, Happy mother's day." Leonidas took a deep breath and composed themself. "Look, I understand our relationship was pretty rocky. I say this all the time, but I can't forgive you for your abuse. I'm sure you didn't know it was abusive, but It was and it hurt me. Despite all that crap, I miss you so much, momma."

They looked down and held their hands tightly together. "I'm sorry this was such a short visit, I'm sure you'd be yelling at me to stay longer, but I've got to go. Goodbye, Momma. "

Then entire car ride home Leonidas had to put themselves together. It felt like along drive home, much longer than going to her grave. They desided sitting in silence wasn't the best thing for them right this second. The decided on a mix of Bill Withers and Stevie Wonder. They honestly had such a soft spot for Stevie Wonder. They especially had a soft spot for I Wish.

Pulling up to Their house they spotted a mother's day balloon in their tree. "The hell?" They looked over to their actual house. On the side of the house they could see those two orphans they talk to on the street sometimes. Behind them was a mother's day sign clearly made of 3 large pieces of paper taped to the wall.

Felicia started to wave. She was honestly a problem child who stole a lot of shit, but she's a sweet kid. Plato stood next to her. He was also a sweet kid. He had a weird habit of breaking shit for fun, but still over all sweet kid.

Honestly looking at all of this was overwhelming for Leonidas. Despite breathing and trying to relax, the water works started and they damn sure weren't going to stop anytime soon. Staying in the car as long as They had was honestly kinda rude , so Leonidas stepped out of the car.

"WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU CRYING? THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO MAKE YOU HAPPY. " Felicia was the first to speak up followed by Plato "Your make up looks ugly now. Why are you sad, stop being sad."

Leonidas looked at them and sniffed. "I'm not fucking sad, I'm just really fucking happy right now." You could see little light bulbs going off in the kids
