Everytime someone justifies shipping an aro character with other characters with "aromantic people can date!!" It's like ueah they can! But do you actually like, care about aromantic people in romantic relationships, or do you use them to justify your behavior?

So this reminded of one time
When I read Jughead 2016 run which literally made me cry with representation
It was like a first time I saw asexuality not just mentioned
But also treated with respect
Then I googled Jughead and
Like the first link is “aCeS CaN hAvE sEXz Too” article regarding erasure of his asexuality in Riverdale
And as you can guess the article is just a bunch of excuses
“H-he has a relationship and sexz totally because it's a SuCh GoOd RePrEsAnTaTiOn
and not because writers consider relationship drama a good way to get hype
and can't even conceive of asexuality as a concept“
And fandom as a whole is obviously worse
It's all about queer positivity until fandom is met with the idea of someone not wanting relationship/sex
Then they just sing the“aros/aces can have relationship/sexz”
Stop lying
You aren't being considering of aces and aros who are in the relationships
You are in the tight grip of allonormativity and afraid of questioning the status quo
