Look, being from Alaska is not that interesting, but one thing that I often forget that baffles me is that they don’t teach you guys the Native mythology. I never watched Sleeping beauty, but my go to bedtime story is the Sleeping Lady. I couldn’t believe it when I came to the lower forty-eight and no one was casually name dropping myths and legends. The Museums didnt all have native architecture that kids would climb in. I’m not native, but there isn’t a child in Alaska who didn’t know the story of Raven and his Grandmother. It just makes me uncomfortable that you guys don’t know the stories of the people who’s land you’re living on.
