New AU inbound
I'm trying so hard to write a fanfic, y'all but my brain is coming up completely blank.
STORY BELOW
Basically;
Sonic is the son of god and he's existed for millions of years.
He witnessed the arrival of the Ancients and wanted to help them, so he broke the rules and went to the planet to help them rebuild their society. He worked alongside them to colonise the Starfall Island and build the robots and the Titans. The Ancients worshipped him as a god, even though he was only a spirit (spirits are the children of gods). When the END came, Sonic wanted to fight it, but the Ancients sent him away with the survivors to Angel Island with the Chaos and Master Emeralds. They couldn't risk their god getting hurt. After the death of the Titan Pilots, Sonic mourned them and grief consumed him, and he hated the feeling, so he begged his family to take him back to the heavens - where suffering and sorrow does not exist. The gods came to take him home, but as Sonic went back to heaven, his memories of the mortal realm was erased and reduced to nothing more than a vague emotion he could not describe. He, however, still felt the urge to return to the planet.
That urge is not without reason; because Sonic loved the planet so much, he made an oath to protect it during his time down there. That oath now propells Sonic to return to the planet whenever it was in grave danger, so Sonic does exactly that.
He goes down to the planet whenever something threatens destruction of the world.
So Sonic ends up going through each of his iconic adventures (yes i'm talking about the games) because of the urge to abandon his post in the heavens to protect the planet.
But once the planet is safe, Sonic has to return to heaven, and each time he does his memories gets erased. Time and time again.
When Sonic meets Tails, after first adventure together, Tails witnessed Sonic being taken back by the gods. And when they meet again, Tails realises Sonic had his memory wiped. So they came up with a plan to document everything that happens so Sonic will be able to look back and have an idea of what he's been through and the people he met.
Sonic has been coming down and protecting the world for decades. Until one day, after the War with Eggman, he wasn't able to go home. His instincts told him he had to stay on the planet - something was threatening it.
Sonic couldn't figure out what was threatening the planet.
Or rather...
He doesn't remember it.
Oh, by the way, Sonic's real name is Caelus :)

And as he awoke in the arms of his rival, his friend, in the scorching pit of Hell, baby blue feathers burning away beside him, Shadow couldn’t help but cry out.
“Why?!” He shouted. “Why would you do this?!”
Sonic hushed him, tears forming in the corner of his red, and only, eyes.
“Because,” he panted, “I couldn’t let you fall…”

WINTER DESIGN IS SO COOL!!!! Somehow my favorite part of him is his tail skdjs what would he say it's his favorite part of himself??? 👀
Design wise? Or Personality wise?
Lol, I’m just kidding, I’ll answer for both! :D
Honestly? I think Winter’s favourite part of himself would also be his tail; it’s gotten him out of a lot of tricky situations, so he does owe a lot to his tail.
For personality, though, I think it would be the courage and strength he learned. Winter wasn’t always a good fighter, or a confident guy, but over the years and a few encounters with a certain octopus he has come around! He now really prides himself on being the strong fighter that he is, because now he can protect those around him :)
