please please please please please this song has held ne in its grasp for the past four days. i am INCAPABLE of listening to anything else i tried to watch a youtube video and my brain could not for the life of me focus it just screamed for either silence or elysian fields there might have been a little respite for Riddle Of The Sphinx but in general Elysian Fields holds my heart there’s no other songs might be under the umbrella of adhd posting but idk i must’ve listened to this song for like 100 times AT LEAST it makes me think so many thoughts not only how it’s a happy ending and how it’s obviously also incredibly sad but just him getting to die away from the horror of the afterlife in the city but close to his wife in the last oasis of true beauty and nature also it being a song written for the album by jonny - an immortal mechanism who cannot die singing about the comforting death of another he doesn’t get this rest he won’t get this rest idk it just makes me feel all new kinds of feelings the depths of sorrow and empathy and envy and longing and resignation i mean i know it’s not what jonny is about but even so he does have emotions and desires and thoughts my heart
