does anyone ever get the impression that authors skipped the day in first grade where we all learned the said was the most boring word in the English language and to NEVER use it?

Literally I tried to rewrite this scene without all the basic dialogue tags and guess what
it took like 5 minutes
Honestly tho it’s not that said is bad it’s just that it’s super overused
and there are so many other dialogue tags that could better convey the scene and display the characters’ personalities
i'll shut up now
