“c’mere,” he’s giggling, pulling you to the balcony by your hand.
your dress trails behind you as james drags you outside into the cold snowy night, prompting you squeal and throw yourself against his chest, searching for comfort from the cold.
“what are we doing?!” you squeal through giggles.
you notice those gorgeous eyes peering down at you, his large hand coming to gently cradle your face.
“can’t imagine one more second not kissing you.”
the world around you erupts into screams and cheers as midnight hits on New Years. james’ lips press to yours, tasting of champagne and sweetness, his tongue sliding against your own as you melt into your dream boy.

-holding your hand all the time
-walking through the corridors or in the library and he'll grab your hands and just swing them back and forth
-very comfortable with PDA but respects his partner's level of comfort always
-this doesn't stop him from asking you out in the most elaborate and over the top way possible
-he loves showing you off and wont hesitate to shout to the world how much he adored you
-study dates in the library, you take turns saving the best spot with the comfiest chairs
-him sneaking in snacks for you even though eating is not allowed in the library
-always makes sure that you're hydrated/fed
-roping you into his shenanigans with the boys but ensuring that you don't get in trouble
-going to all his quidditch games and wearing his extra jersey
-dancing all the time
-seriously all the time- in the common room, astronomy tower, by the great lake
-James only lets you touch his perfectly messy hair- it calms him down
-Falling asleep in the common room with his head in your lap
-*sleepy James Potter- ADORABLE *
-He keeps little tokens from every one of your dates, things like movie stubs or the tablecloth from that time you sat by the black lake and had a picnic
-You plucked flowers of all sorts and were weaving them into a chain; a crown specifically
-Once presented to James he wouldn't take it off for the rest of the day because once again he's all too proud to show off his amazing partner
-Unbeknownst to you he charmed it so the flowers never wilted
-When you get mad at him he wears it to make you giggle and buys you sweets from honeyduke's
-James "misplaces" his glasses all the time, to the point where you just end up carrying the case for them (obviously you decorate it with stickers and he adores it)
-lets face it he's rich he loves to spoil you no matter the cost
-when you go to hogsmeade if there's something you even glance at for more than three seconds he's dragging you in to try it on/buy it.
-sometimes he'll go back alone and just spend the afternoon buying small (and not so small) trinkets for you cuz "they reminded me of you baby"
-the human form of the :) symbol
-He wakes up every single day and wonders how he was so lucky to have met you
