for some reason seeing the rex and cal interaction ask immediately made an au pop into my brain of like. the end of the clone wars but Cal's whole ship has their chips malfunction so it just turns into "oh no. guess we all have to pretend to crash and then take this whole perfectly fine battle cruiser and go into hiding. oh nooooo"
