Does the Departed Realm being in Ninjago now mean people just respawn on another continent when they die
This reminds me of another post that I'll link, but essentially about how the ninja have to work out boundaries when they first get together, because cole and jay grew up with only parents, zane had no one, and Kai grew up with only nya, so none of them is good at living with other people. But think about how this is manifested in terms of personal space.
Everyone carefully leaving space between them and the next person while they watch a movie in S1, but by S5 they are physically comfortable with each other and Kai holds onto cole when he's scared, and jay leans on nya when he gets tired, and they'll all pile pillows on the floor in front of the TV and just all lean on each other without thinking about it.
Like S1 Kai would never admit to being touchstarved, but S8 Kai says it (or Lloyd might, too) and they all hug him more, they put him in the middle when they watch movies, Lloyd moves into Kai's room in the middle of the night.
Something something Kai mentions he’s touch starved in a casual joke on movie night but the others take it very seriously…

I think the departed realm and chima combined to make Lego Ohio
Since all 16 realms combined does that mean that the departed realm is back? Like I know it got destroyed in s6 but what happens when people die now? Are their ghosts just there or do they respawn in another area of the world
like they just appear in the middle of a wedding ceremony
just imagining Kai doing something stupid and getting himself killed but reappearing right next to the ninja

Okay, hear me out.
My headcanons mainly are about the movie ninja crew, and bc I headcanon Nya and Kai as Twins, and I also headcanon that Cole designs a lot of the stuff the ninja use and wear (backpacks, phone cases, stickers, etc..), I had this idea that Kai and Nya just switch all the time
No reason what so ever, they just think it’s cool and lean 100% into the Twin thing.
After growing up with no money, there is no way he's spend on something as pointlessly expensive as furniture. He got his plastic lawn chair for free off a curb on trash day.
He also isn't the type to be super creative and decorate with DIY projects. Like could he do that? For sure! But will he? Heck no. He won't go around thrifting and trying to furnish. He'll just get a free lawn chair and a beanbag off ebay (one of the massive Lovesac ones) instead of a bed, and he'll cook with 1 pot, 1 bowl, 1 plate, and 1 set of silverware, but mostly he orders from master chens.

Idk why but Kai feels like the Male Living Space type to me. The ninja move into separate places for whatever reason and they go visit Kai to check up on him and it's just like. A chair. And a fridge. Nothing else. And not a comfy chair either it's a plastic lawn chair.
Arin: In my defense, I was left unsupervised.
Nya: Wasn't Lloyd with you?
Lloyd: In my defense, I was also left unsupervised.
A scene from the inside of a random apartment and Lloyd's just washing the window, and the garmadon walks in and doesn't even look out the window. And Lloyd just stops and stares with all of the emotions on his face. And garmadon just waters christofern and walks out again.
Can you IMAGINE if Lloyd realized he was washing Vinny's windows in Farewell the Sea upon visiting his apartment in Christofern, then realized how close to Garmadon he was
Look, all I'm saying is it would've been hilarious to see Lloyd go "WAIT I WASHED YOUR WINDOWS????"
they dont act married, like they act like they are very new to their relationship. and they never share rooms, so.
But since dragons rising skips years, they could have gotten married in there.
captivated with that early period where zane still thinks he’s human and all the tiny details necessary for that and the tiny details that’d be missed. jay being jealous that zane seems to never break out esp when they’re wearing masks so much. someone bragging about the muscle they’ve put on/that they grew a little bit/etc versus how little zane’s changed. someone realizing they need a haircut and wrangling everyone else into doing it and by the time they get to zane they’re just like. huh.

Lloyd plays games or reads or smth literally until he falls asleep every night so that he doesn't think about any of it, and because he knows he'll have nightmares, and speaking of which,

He moved to other bedrooms in the middle of the night, usually kai's but sometimes Cole's
Scared of storms, doesn't want to be alone during storms
Has seemingly random silent periods where he won't speak to anyone. Interpret this as you will
As things get worse, he becomes more nocturnal. Spends days sleeping and nights reading, gaming, training, or baking breakfast for the next morning. This is a manifestation of his fear of the dark, he gets too anxious to sleep in the dark.
Devils advocate here. But what if during Possession, at the end when Moro throws lloyd into the water, what if he nearly drowns? Like Jay in Seabound. There's a lot of water in his lungs and it's looking bleak. Maybe Nya figures out how to draw it out or they take him to a hospital.
Either way, Angst.

Ohhh this was an unspoken part of my mind that you just unlocked. You just leveled up my understanding of lloyd. Like I knew this was true but I never put it into words.
Abandoned by his parents
Bullied by his classmates
Betrayed by his allies (snakes)
Disliked by the ninja for a while (remember the complaining and condescension when he first moved in with them?)
Gave up years of his childhood to save the ninjas lives
Fought his dad and thought one of them would have to die
Kidnapped and had his power drained
Zane died
His friends got knocked out of the tournament one by one until kai pretended to betray him
Sent his dad to the departed realm
Possessed by a ghost that hated him
Almost drowned because of said ghost
Arrested
Friends are taken down one by one by Nadakhan
Nya died
Past 3 are wiped from his memory but the trauma can still have effects
Zane is out of commission
Wu is aging rapidly and Lloyd must lead the ninja
Wu is gone
Power drained again + in a coma for a while
Fell in love with his enemy and was betrayed
Used to bring back his evil dad
The one good oni he knew died
Wu is back but as a baby who needs a babysitter
His friends are all gone (thinks they're dead but they're in another realm)
His uncle and mom flirt
Zane died again
Oh wait Zanes in another realm but he's still alive
No he's the evil ruler of this realm and I'm alone
Has to manage the team because his uncle is flirting all the time
Entered a video game and fights his evil ex girlfriend who says manipulative things
Kidnapped and almost killed in a coal mine
His evil ex is back and hates him (maybe)
His dad is back and loves his plant more than his son
All his friends are gone (except kai and nya)
Wu is gone
Alone for years, keeping the realm together by himself

I feel like Lloyd is the type to just mention something traumatic about his childhood and then get surprised it’s not a normal experience
Currently rewatching Ninjago after a few years (last season I watched was season two I think, and i'm about to start watching the skybound season, excited for this one, people say it's really good) and the headcanons that have been popping in my head are killing me
So i'll be talking about that here
First of all
- Jaya
- I forgot how cute they were-just UGh🥰
- My little headcanon here is that whenever they hold hands Nya's hair stands on end, like when you're about to be struck by lightning
- Also-
- When they kissed for the first time Jay was so nervous he accidentally gave Nya a small shock through the kiss
- (he's still embarrassed, Nya thought it was a pretty memorable kiss)
- Kai
- Whenever he's angry smoke quite literally comes out of his ears, sometimes his nose (a few times smoke comes out of his mouth)
WARNING: IMPLIED SMOKING (NOT REALLY)
(everyone thought he was smoking and staged an intervetion, the realization of what was actually happening had everyone sheepish)
- he also gets heatwaves around him (tho those can happen at any time [like after traning] not just when he's mad)
- Zane
- everyone knows when he's stressed because their breaths start fogging up if his in the room and things start to get a layer of frost over them, sometimes freezing things completely
- knows all the memes, just doesn't know how to use them properly (he gets it eventually, Jay, Lloyd and Nya helped him)
Jay: "Zane!! Hello me get to the third floor"
Zane: *grabs Jay and throws him upward* "YEET!"
Jay: "NOT WHAT I MEANT!!"
- Nya
- her favorite thing to do is control the water pressure of the shower on her unsuspecting victims
- You either get a slow trickle of water, or get clobbered out of the shower
- uses her powers to spray any of the other ninja when they're about to do something stupid
Zane: *about to jump in front of danger without any regards for his own safety*
Nya: "Bad Zane! Bad Zane!" *sprays water on his face*
- Cole
- one time he was really sick and his powers were out of control so whenever he sneezed there would be a small earthquake
- whenever Jay or Nya need to lift something heavy for their inventions they get Cole to do it
- Jay
- whenever he's nervous the lights, and any other electronic equipment near him, flash and malfunction
- when the other ninja's touch him their hair gets fuzzy (and with titanium Zane his eyes start flashing a bit because of the electricity)
- Lloyd
- don't wake him up harshly unless you want to end up getting blasted through a wall, ceiling, or the floor
- sugar addict (will fist fight Cole for a slice of cake)
- makes and wears bracelets that are inspiredby his friends/family

So so, headcanons;
-Heterochromia, blue eyes are eyes when he posses his elemental, and the other one is blurry for him because of what happened, which makes him half-blind
-the earring; at first it was supposed to be Nya's gift before her death, because of the grief, not only he got closer to water, he wears it so if nya somewhere can see it; nya and jay wear the same earrings, Jay's on his right and Nya's on her left ear
-the gold clip is a gift from cole for his birthday present that jay till this day cherish
-snake scales from his transformation didn't completely remove all snake features
-Lichtenberg scars from using his elemental power
-clips on his shirt so it doesn't slip during battles because he doesn't want the others to see his scars from Nadakhan's torture
-eyes glows because of his element

Bc elemental powers are passed on(I don't understand was the new elemental master of wind energy got the power-) like idk also tho idk where I got this from but I thought ppl from ninjago could only geet lemental powers? Why are Just so many other randos getting powers? Maybe the merge messed it up so know people all over call get powers and don't need it from like a parent/passed down??? Idk- it justtttsvdhdhdh idk
