Honestly these are so accurate. I want to see videos now. Like I don't need episodes with bad guys and drama, I just want daily interactions and dodgeball games

train of events + my constant thoughts of lego led to:

of COURSE powers and spinjitzu are allowed. who do you think they are

except for cole. cole is not allowed to use his super strength to throw anything because it will put a hole through something or someone

that being said, tiny tiny earthquakes to throw someone off balance is not off the table

definitely targets jay

you already know kai and jay are competitive as fuck. both in the game and in screaming bloody murder the loudest

i think they would both use some elemental power to charge up the throw, like that short where they’re chopping bricks (i forgot the name lmao)

jay WHIPS the ball like no one else (cause lightning 😎) AND plus the lightning charge up?? bros out for blood

little bit of a sore loser but he forgets about it pretty quickly

kai is such a sore loser let’s be honest now

but if he wins he’s holding it above the others forever

i think he’s got shit aim lmao

in fights he’s so used to making a big ass blast of fire and shooting it in the general direction he doesn’t need to aim

that being said he definitely torches the dodgeballs midair

regardless of if they’re about to hit him or not

zane however has scarily accurate aim, being a nindroid and all

he always hits them on the shoulder

he’s not above freezing the floor and making them slip. you would think he is, but he’s not.

mfs got strategies and scenarios planned out and everything

he is here to WIN

lloyd “it’s just a game guys, lets just have fun” garmadon and lloyd “i will hold a grudge against the person who got me out for the rest of my life” garmadon are ideas that could and absolutely do coexist

i think he’s a bad thrower. like he CAN throw, he’s just not as good as the rest of them

gets people out by catching the ball more than actually hitting them (he’s got practice with catching HANDS)

nya absolutely decimates them

goes easy on jay and is out for kai’s head

jay SAYS he was going easy on her, and in return she nails him in the stomach with a ball

jay is no longer going easy on her

she’s just as much of a sore loser as kai is

wu and garmadon would play something like dodgeball when they were younger

it mostly involved chucking whatever they could find at each other at random times

garmadon called it training. wu called it being childish and petty

catch him throwing cans straight at garmadons head just to hear the hollow “tonk” sound (if they had cans back then lmao)

so there’s really no way to declare a winner

garmadon says he won though

if morro was alive and/or with the ninja he is here to WIN. nothing less.

if he’s still a ghost then he couldn’t really participate

he’s kinda salty about it cause he knows he would absolutely destroy them

at least that’s what he says

fucking jukes everyone. breaking ankles left and right

i like to think he’s agile and fast as hell cause wind and everything

contrary to popular belief he doesn’t use the wind to block anything thrown at him

the point of dodgeball is to dodge. if he gets hit, then it’s his failure and incompetence

THROWING with the wind however,, he’s only playing to his strengths, that’s all

he and lloyd definitely target each other. whoever wins, it’s a matter of pride on both sides

But I also find him annoying

All I’m saying is some of the ninjago citizens speak way to casually about master Wu. He is literally the son of the First Master who is like a god in this and he’s been alive for a thousand years. Like the citizens should be a bit more respectful

As a "wu hater", I find him really annoying because he feels really flat, and although I know Garm stole his letter and that's why Misako married Garm, I still am really bother by how Wu lowkey flirts with Misako so so much while Garm isn't around.

And i think a big part of it is that a lot of the fans love wu, but I feel like he's just totally bland and boring, and it's mildly annoying that so many people love him while dismissing good characters imo.

That said, you're right that he never says "there's something I haven't told you" and probably if I rewatched all of the seasons, and intentionally like wu, probably by the end I'd genuinely like him a lot more.

Oh and also, I just read your tags haha and noticed, I have kinda ignored his emotions and how other people have impacted him, the trauma, and morro's death and zanes death, asphera and garmadon and the letter, and Lloyd, etc. I guess I did dismiss a lot of it, so I should def rewatch.

why do people hate wu so much? "leaving them unprepared by not telling them shit" who's gonna tell people about a snake that got put in jail a few thousand years ago? or the child who ran away from home???? was it wu's fault this kid went to hell? he didn't even know his kid went to hell man. everyone he's told shit to has either betrayed him or died by now.

also when does he actually say "there's something I haven't told you yet"? like I want actual examples and not just the same boring meme???

That makes sense, but it also makes me kind of sad because Garmadon killed Misake and that's heartbreaking for me.

So related to @legogeek33 's Oni theory about the types of Oni (Vengeance, Hatred, Deception) and the circulating theory that Mistaké is Garm and Wu's mom

The way the markings on their foreheads connect to the eyebrows and swirl in the same directions...

At first I thought they were generic Oni markings, but the only Oni-related thing that has that same swirl is the Mask of Deception

This also implies that Lou is Lloyd's great grandfather, and Wu and Garmadon's grandfather.

Now I'm picturing Lou calling and Cole just turns the phone over to Lloyd or Wu.

Wait a minute. Hang on. We all make jokes about Cole being Wu's dad and using dad privileges against Wu long after the baby arc, right? BUT. There is SO much untapped potential in Cole extending this even further by concluding that if he's Wu's dad, then naturally this means he's Lloyd's grandpa.

Ohhh this was an unspoken part of my mind that you just unlocked. You just leveled up my understanding of lloyd. Like I knew this was true but I never put it into words.

Abandoned by his parents

Bullied by his classmates

Betrayed by his allies (snakes)

Disliked by the ninja for a while (remember the complaining and condescension when he first moved in with them?)

Gave up years of his childhood to save the ninjas lives

Fought his dad and thought one of them would have to die

Kidnapped and had his power drained

Zane died

His friends got knocked out of the tournament one by one until kai pretended to betray him

Sent his dad to the departed realm

Possessed by a ghost that hated him

Almost drowned because of said ghost

Arrested

Friends are taken down one by one by Nadakhan

Nya died

Past 3 are wiped from his memory but the trauma can still have effects

Zane is out of commission

Wu is aging rapidly and Lloyd must lead the ninja

Wu is gone

Power drained again + in a coma for a while

Fell in love with his enemy and was betrayed

Used to bring back his evil dad

The one good oni he knew died

Wu is back but as a baby who needs a babysitter

His friends are all gone (thinks they're dead but they're in another realm)

His uncle and mom flirt

Zane died again

Oh wait Zanes in another realm but he's still alive

No he's the evil ruler of this realm and I'm alone

Has to manage the team because his uncle is flirting all the time

Entered a video game and fights his evil ex girlfriend who says manipulative things

Kidnapped and almost killed in a coal mine

His evil ex is back and hates him (maybe)

His dad is back and loves his plant more than his son

All his friends are gone (except kai and nya)

Wu is gone

Alone for years, keeping the realm together by himself

Feel free to add if I missed something.

I feel like Lloyd is the type to just mention something traumatic about his childhood and then get surprised it’s not a normal experience

OK we all agree that misako is a shit parent

BUT

Wu ain't that much better than her. This man lets his nephew stay in a school for future gang members and criminals, even though he has the full authority to take him back.

And after getting him back, he puts him in multiple dangerous situations with the other ninjas.

This is not a misako-defending post, I have thoughts on her too. She literally abandoned her kid at said school and decided to fuck off to who the hell knows where and study ancient scrolls. And not ONCE did she think about checking up on her goddamn SON.

Legit, the only semi-decent parental figure Lloyd has is the dude destined to bring doom and destruction wherever he goes.

Said dude risked his life to save his son, literally DIED, and perhaps the only person Lloyd genuinely could look up to.

Come to think of it, lord Garmadon is one of THE best parents in the show. The other being Ed and Edna.

Kai and Nya's parents were kidnapped by a fucking dude, Dr.Julien got down and dirty with death a little after Zane's creation and Cole's dad is a neglectful asshole. Jay is the only one with loving parents.

The bar is so low it's in the realm of the departed, yet they STILL manage to trip over it and dig even deeper.

No wonder these kids are the way they are, I would have ended up in an asylum after the first two traumatic events.
