Jellymaid!
Wait, this is absolutely fantastic!
I was going to write something about how the "jelly" in "jellymaid" is for "comb jelly" not "jellyfish" but I'd be wrong; it's actually both. Comb jellies (Ctenophora), not true jellyfish (Cnidaria, specifically Scyphozoa), have the the rainbow "lights" seen on the lower half of her body. The "lights" are actually rows of long cilia, used for locomotion, which causes light diffraction, and not bioluminescence. Jellyfish, and all cnidarians, posses a kind of cell called a cnidocyte, the function which is to burst and shoot little "harpoons" into whatever it's attacking (this is how jellyfish sting). These little barbed projectiles look like this:

...which is exactly what the jellymaid is shooting with her bow!
(FYI: this wonderful creature was drawn by zodiacleo -- kudos to you!)

Snow Plum for day nine of Mermay!
I love how the tail came out. I was so worried it wouldn’t turn out how I had envisioned but I think it’s gorgeous 🥰
