So this kind of implies that even though the Heian period was known as being so violent, domain expansions like Sukuna’s Malevolent Shrine were actually quite rare. I guess “softer” domain expensions are able to drag out the fight more and if more people are able to use it, it creates more chaos.

This makes me wish all the more for a Heian period flashback arc kind of like the Hidden Inventory Arc.

Just seeing what fights back then looked like, how Jujutsu society was organized, how the 3 (2 by now) big clans formed. Also just some more backstory on the older characters. How did Sukuna and Uraume meet, how did Sukuna get defeated, what was Kenjaku like back then, what made them so obsessed with pushing human evolution, the binding vows being formed back then etc.

just thinking about how domain expansions used to be somewhat chill and evolved into something lethal, going from sit down bitch we’re playing checkers by my technique’s rules to malevolent shrine
