After a long, sluggish day of work, cold weather, letters and things alike, Jon wants nothing more than to be enveloped in your embrace.

After so long, after such an upbringing especially, he has a hard time coming to you for comfort. Jon was raised to believe these things were weakness so he must resist this.

Yes, he may have a harder time vocalizing his needs in the beginning of your relationship, but after a certain period of time he warms up, realizes this isn't a weakness with your help too, and has no problem physically showing he is in need of some comfort.

Be it by tugging your arm and bringing you into a hug, or pulling you close to him when he thinks you're asleep. Holding your hands when you embrace him from behind, just staying like that for a moment and sharing each other's warmth.

Jon is shy however, even later in the relationship so you will need to be the one to initiate such things.

You visiting him at his work and slipping a hand squeeze or a quick hug would mean the world to him. Perhaps even bringing him some food to make sure he eats properly.

With so much to do, he sometimes forgets such basic things.

You'd drop by a few times, bringing some healthy snacks just so he doesn't feel sluggish or hungry. With those snacks also comes a ton of hugs and pampering.

Asking him softly if he's alright, how work is going, if he needs or wants anything.

If anyone else was asking such questions he'd feel quite attacked, it would feel weird and just unwelcome if someone came out of the blue and tried to play mother hen over him.

But this was you, and Jon had an exception for you.

It would even be the highlight of his day. Knowing he can look forward to something and someone when the day meets it end.

He'd be a mess in your hands behind closed doors.

Cupping his face in yours so gently is still a bit foreign to him, but he loves it nonetheless. It warms his chest and sends butterflies in his stomach.

He'd look at you with his puppy-dog eyes, big and just filled with love and appreciation.

You can't help but to kiss him and bring him closer to you. Sharing a laugh and a chuckle as you tangle your limbs together to be closer.

Peppering him with kisses is also another way to make sure his day starts off on a positive note. He'd wake up with his lips tugging upwards, just feeling your plush lips press against his cheek, brow, throat and finally his lips when you realize he is coming to his senses.

Cuddle sessions with Jon may be rare but he does his best to increase the number of them.

You just holding him in your arms, dragging your hands across his back from under all the furs, giving him a massage. He's gone. He loves it all so much.

It wasn't rare that those actions bring him to sleep, falling to sleep in your arms. It is the only time Jon can feel safe, loved.

Don't get me started when he catches a cold.

It is rare yes, but unavoidable even for a wolf like him.

He's even more touch starved then, yet he feels like he can't lift his limbs when the fever bounds him to bed.

In those times you're all he needs and wants, he doesn't want to hear about the paperwork, duty, he wants none of that. He just wants you.

Most of those days would be spent in bed alongside him.

Running your fingers through his hair, tracing his features and just holding him. It keeps him asleep, he gets his rest.

When you bring his food, you feed him if he's feeling really weak and ill.

If not, and he can manage on his own, you bring some food for yourself too. Having taken notice he also appreciates when you eat with him.

It's some quality time that you spend with him like that. Leading a small talk about whatever comes to your mind, laughing with each other and sharing each other's worries.

He doesn't know how else to thank you sometimes so he tries bringing you some trinkets, and spending as much time as he can with you.

But most of all, he loves and appreaciates you.

Seeing Jon is a bit of a rare thing. With both of you working and with you being quite some distance away from the Wall.

Still, you try to visit him as often as you can, or send him the food via someone else.

You'd often visit when a cart of food and supplies goes to the wall, usually once or twice a month. And that's when you pack quite a big portion of freshly made food for Jon.

Jon loves your food, that much is for sure.

The food on the Wall is often stale, bland and hastily made. So it's not rare that sometimes he doesn't even finish his plate. He rarely eats that food when he knows for certain that your food will be on his table soon.

He will thank you profusely for this, it really does mean a lot to him. The food tastes great and it's actually healthy, he knows he won't get ill from whatever you make him.

Both of you eating together certainly does bring the two of you closer together. It just something intimate in it's own way, especially if one of you is feeding the other.

Rarely there are any leftovers, so you do make sure to bring Ghost something as well. Although it is not so hard to satisfy the direworlf when it comes to food.

Even Ghost loves whatever you bring in that big basket of yours. He'd run over to you, smelling you even before you made it through the gates and would wait patiently until he sees the supplies carriage.

Ghost would walk along your side the entire time, licking his maw in anticipation.

So unless you want a direwolf on your dinner table, you best give him some of the food first.

Jon notices how much Ghost is absent at his side when you're around and he does point it out to you with a laugh.

If you're not there to accompany him and Ghost, he will surely write a letter of his gratitude to send back to you.

If they had anything nice at the wall he would send that too, but unfortunately it's all ice, snow and rocks.
