Personally? I genuinely like intimacy. Not sex but kissing, hugging, touching, being open and stuff.

I am also a hopeless romantic, you could probably do something with that.

Also I make as many, if not more sex jokes than my allo friends so take that as you will.

But my experiences are not universal and I have frequently baffled my therapist in ways she didn't know she could be baffled, so... Yup.

But I also think most asexual people (from my experience) just don't want to be treated as other. We are the exact same as people who enjoy sex. Our sexual preference is a small factor in our lives. Yes it will be important for a romance book but the real key is the communication, both verbal and nonverbal.

When me and my boyfriend were on the line of getting together I sat him down and basically said "hey. I'm not interested in all the sex stuff. It kinda grosses me out when I think of myself in that position. Kisses and touching is fine. I'll tell you to stop if I need to." and since then it has been brought up in conversation, " hey do you want to try this?"" hey, I saw a thing and I want to see if I like it" and other such conversations

I hope I actually answered your questions and not just gone on a rant about myself lol

Okay I have done past research and talked to other sex repulsed people, but I thought I might as well ask you lot

Sex repulsed aces, how would you like to be portrayed in a book?

Note: this book is a romance book between an allo and a sex repulsed ace and developing a truely healthy relationship between them!! So any thoughts of what a healthy relationship would mean to you!!
