Just What?? - Tumblr Posts
Guys please help me i'm watching attack on titan just what the fuck is this why is it so fucking epic and why is eren a fucking ass psychopath like hey bro are you ok?
Okay so there are some small children running around my neighborhood commons and they WERE running around shouting at each other but now they’re on an iPhone playing music from YouTube with no headphones and one of them just said “if a zombie gets shot in the body it dances” and I’m very worried. Not sure what I’m worrying about, but I’m worried.
; this is so much worse than the marketing scams and porn bots usually spamming the asexual tag.

; what have I found and how do I unfind it.
Ya know, I had a few ideas on how this lore might play out

But Sam bucket being a victim/hero and "sacrificing" himself definitely wasn't one of them
(It wasn't technically a sacrifice but still)
How can someone completely just misinterpret a character's personality so badly?
Sun? A covert narcissist!? Have these people even watched the show!?
I've seen some people call Sun a "covert narcissist" despite the fact that his major goals in the story have revolved around helping or protecting Moon. His behavior doesn't fit the narcissist criteria:
• Self-centered?
Obviously not. ⬆️
• Constantly thinking about himself?
No. Other people tend to be on his mind. E.g., Moon, Eclipse, Bloodmoon...
• Focuses on getting his own needs met (often ignoring the needs of others)?
"I don't need therapy right now. I have something more pressing, matters [saving Moon] to concern myself with."
No. Sun's currently in a bad mental state because he couldn't help Moon.
• Sense of entitlement or superiority?
No. The guy constantly insults himself.
• Feels that he's always right?
No. Someone who thinks that way wouldn't have said this: "I don't know if what I did [killing Bloodmoon] was even a good idea. I mean, they were right. Maybe they could have been redeemed..."
• Feels that he's better or deserves better than other people?
No. Sun considers himself a screw-up. What's more, his Bloodmoon-shaped inner critical voice told him he should be called a "failure."
The hallucinations are him punishing himself because he feels that he deserves it. This is not someone who thinks he "deserves better than other people."
• Lack of empathy?
No.
• Manipulative or controlling?
No. Sun is not a schemer.
• Uses emotions to manipulate people?
No.
• Tendecy to be extremely jealous and controlling in relationships?
No. Sun doesn't keep Moon from having other friends, nor tells him how to live his life.
• Strong need for admiration?
No. I think Sun does want some praise (he doesn't get enough of it from the people in his life), but not to such an extent where he'd take things too far.
• Demands admiration and praise?
No. Doesn't ask for it, and tends to accept the criticism he gets.
• Likes to be center of attention?
No. For instance, Sun enjoys doing the show with his brother. There was the time he had a chance to do a few episodes alone, but he had Glamrock Freddy join him for a Teardown episode.
• Difficulty taking feedback?
No. He accepts it and learns from his mistakes.
• Overreacts to criticism? Doesn't enjoy hearing it, but again: he accepts it anyway.
Sun accepting his own self-criticism:
Bloodmoon Hallucination (inner critical voice): As far as you know, he's dead. And it will be your fault.
Sun: It won't be my fault. It... It would be my fault.
• Has a hard time admitting when he is wrong?
No. He is constantly feeling guilty about/apologizing for his mistakes.
• Quick to feel hurt or angry?
No. Sun tends to let people get away with their bad behavior toward him until he's had enough and blows up at them.
But in the end, he usually forgives the people who have hurt him. Moon, Lunar, Monty, Roxanne... Lets bygones be bygones. Hell, he even tried to work things out with Eclipse back then (Sun Meets Eclipse). Not anymore, but still: Sun was willing to potentially forgive the person responsible for — from his POV; he didn't know about Bloodmoon — what happened on July 16th, and making Roxanne break his heart.
...
Look, Sun and Moon are both flawed individuals. I think we can all agree on that. However, it seems like people bring up Sun's flaws more than Moon's. In fact, I've done it as well! I have a post pointing out Sun's similarities to Eclipse in the works. It touches upon Sun's flaws and his asshole moments.
But that aside, why does pointing out Moon's flaws get people so worked up?
Seriously? People are getting ANGRY over authors using words not everybody understands?
OKAY, these people are either immature, stupid, or have had literally every single thing handed to them in life.
Creators shouldn't have to cater to the people with these insane demands, and this one is just RIDICULOUS!
If you're getting angry over petty stuff like this, maybe it's time to use that thing in your head. You know, your FREAKING BRAIN! USE IT! THINK FOR ONCE AND YOU WON'T BE BORED ENOUGH TO COMPLAIN ABOUT THIS NONSENSE!
This might be unpopular but I’m not going to use simpler vocabulary in my writing if it’s out of character for the narrator. If my POV character is a botanist, he’s going to call a plant by its name. If you don’t know what it is you can either Google it or move on just knowing it’s a plant of some sort.
I don’t like this trend of readers being angry that not everything is 100% understandable for them. I want my characters to be believable as people and sometimes people use words people outside of their field will not understand. That’s not a bad thing.
You don’t have to understand every word to get the gist of what’s happening. I’m not going to slow down an action scene to describe every weapon because someone might not know them by name. They can just assume it’s a weapon because that makes sense in the context of the scene.
