I'm trying to think of a backstory for him and that involves with Kamado.
He is uppermoons three and is often mostly hated sometimes by every demon (Expect from Karyuundo bc they are bestfriends)
He hates Rensike because he is in uppermoon two, and Rensike often makes fun of him alot because of that.
In the Mugen Train Arc he appears to Nishijima, Meh and Kosaka and offers Nishijima to become a demon and ofc Nishijima refuses and they fight. And unfortunately Nishijima dies and the sun was about to rise so John had to escape immediately.
In the Infinity Castle Arc, he fights off against Kamado and Minene. (I'm trying to still think although about the backstory) Then he moments later he notices that he was fighting Kamado so then he just stood there knowing that he shouldn't be here and waiting for Kamado to decapitate him, and she did.
Welp I tried.. I will think of a backstory for him (I hope) So.. if you want to ask about any other character that hasn't been asked about you can ^^
Ah, I understand that John and Kamado in your au have a “demon/monster falls in love with an ordinary mortal” ship dynamic? This is truly the right choice for them.
Yeah.. I would say that in their backstory that they were in a relationship but something happened that I would say kinda broke it I'm not sure..
