ah yes. the Big Pairing. i will not lie, i kinda ignored these two at first and they don't have as much of a hold on me as some other ships.

HOWEVER, what they have absolutely cannot be denied. two brilliant players tied to a mid-level team that, let's face it, has had some pretty awful vibes over the last few months, outside of their losing the stanley cup. inextricably intertwined to the point where even a massive factor in their contract extensions was the idea that they'd be staying together. i cannot imagine them playing on opposite teams and i don't think they could either. their girlfriends (one wife, one fiancée) are just as bad (affectionate). no one else could match their freak aka medieval chivalric levels of devotion and overwhelming belief in each other, not to mention an ability to make each other laugh even when things are bad. no one else is doing it like them. makes sense and compels me.
