For the record I love Bernard & timbern so much, I don't know much about timkon so I don't really ship it and I don't know anything about Jay (I had to google his name to make this) but I'm glad there are actually confirmed gay people in something with such a huge fan base.
That being said why did they do it like that? The fans really wanted timkon and/or damijon so DC decided to go half and half and do that instead?

Hello! I mostly just called it controversial because I see it get a lot of hate, sorry if I didn't really phrase it right!
I see people get mad because "they're just friends" (which is stupid because what good couple isn't based on friendship) and I saw someone complaining about it because the "friendship ended badly" (spoilers - that's really just because Kon died, I don't think anything bad happened between them)
Every ship, no matter how healthy, will get hate and timkon's got so popular that if you don't ship it, it's so much more likely for you to hate it than to just not care. That's mostly why I called it controversial, most people either love it or hate it and will fight about it without a reason.
I personally don't ship it and I don't know much about it because I don't know where to get comics, but it isn't problematic and they'd probably be really cute together so by all means ship it if you want!

If this is the first one you've seen - I'm making a crossover of DC comics and Danganronpa by assigning the characters a vigilante that I think suits them
Time for Young Justice! I used drv3 characters for these guys and I haven't read the comics so some of this may not be 100% accurate
Red Robin - Shuichi Sahara
Most of my YJ were picked due to their connections with him, my Tim/Shuichi Reasoning is back in part 1
Superboy - Kaito Momota
- Dumb jock energy? (the two of them have really similar vibes imo)
- Incredibly homoerotic subtext with Tim/Shuichi, people often take it as a near-canon romance
- Astronaut / Half alien (space boys)
- K names (just a coincidence but its nice)
Impulse - Kokichi Ouma
Okay I know practically nothing about Impulse. I am going off of some fanon things I've seen and one clip from the yj show
- Pretty clever but too chaotic for people to notice
- That clip of impulse running away from everyone on the team reminds me of kokichi running away in the love hotel scene
- Pretty commonly shipped with Shuichi/Tim and Kaito/Kon, seen as a trio shipping or not
Wondergirl - Maki Harukawa?
The only thing I know ab Cassie is that she's Kon's gf. So sorry ab that, I didn't know who to put for Maki so I thought this worked

Miss Martian - Himiko Yumeno
Is she in the comics? Idk, I might me combining the comics and show but oh well
- A bit shy, doesn't really talk to people outside of their friend group much
- Miss M's powers feel a lot like magic, plus she can go invisible and Himiko was talking about making an invisibility spell
- I kinda wanted all the drv3 survivors on this team yk

Just found out in the Romani language Kon means who but in Kryptonian it is a slur for clones that translates to abomination
So just imagine this

Kon: Wassup
Dick: So his name translates to who…?
Tim: No. His name is a Kryptonian slur for clones that translates to “abomination”
Dick: OH MY GOD THAT IS SO MUCH WORSE

Timkon my heart
This one hoodie just like. Makes it's rounds in the super hero community.
Oliver bought it as a joke, then Roy took it because he couldn't find his, Jason stole it from Roy, Bruce borrowed it from Jason, Clark took it from Bruce, Lois wore it around for a while before Kon accidentally put it in his suitcase, so Tim ended up taking it, and I believe that Young Justice could not car less about personal boundaries so it ends with Bart and Cassie for a while.
Tim finally gets it back and brings it to the manor, where Damian steals it as payback for something, before Jon takes it on a mission. When he gets back, he gives it back to Damian, who leaves it on the couch, and Steph picks it up.
She and Cass share it for a few days before Cass gives it to Dick cause he's cold. Dick shares it with Kori and Wally, who brings it home. Barry accidentally grabs it, thinking it's his, and brings it up to the watchtower.
The sweatshirt is then borrowed by Constantine, who is trying to retrieve his trenchcoat from the House of Mysteries. He forgets to give it back and Zatanna takes it because she was cold, and then drops it in the watchtower on her next visit.
Diana wears it once, then Hal finds it and wears it purely to piss off Oliver, who takes it back, and it makes it's way back to Jason.
By now, this hoodie has been worn by aliens, gods, vigilantes, magic users and heroes alike. It has absorbed an absolutely insane amount of magical and mystical energy, and it will basically make the wearer invulnerable.
None of the caped community ever discover this, but they do seem to treat it as a good luck charm that really seems to work, so several other heroes wear it at various points.
The batkids are known for sharing clothes amongst each other, so imagine everyone’s surprise when Jason won’t let them borrow his hoodie. Upon further inspection they find out it’s Roy’s hoodie. This causes a chain reaction and now Dick won’t let anyone borrow his Wally hoodie, Tim won’t let anyone borrow his Kon hoodie, Damian with Jon’s clothes(which there was no need for because Damian’s clothes never fit anyways), Duke with Izzy’s, Cass with Steph, and so on. After this “civil war” they all reluctantly agree to end this and all clothes (their own or not) is up for grabs. (minus Damian and Jon, of course)
bonus is when their partners steal the batkids clothes only to find out later that it’s definitely not a wayne kids clothing item.
Roy: That’s my sweater?
Wally: Yeah well Kon’s wearing my pants so…
Izzy: I’m probably wearing one of your boxers, it’s for sure not Dukes
Kon: how do you know?
Izzy: Because Duke doesn’t own Minecraft boxers???
Steph: Oh yeah sorry, those are mine
kon: if bart and i were drowning, who would you save?
tim: you two can’t swim?
kon: it’s a hypothetical question, tim! who would you save?
tim: *sips coffee* my time and effort.
