Koschei would've been that kid that acted all mature and tough and cool as much as possible to an almost ludicrous extent around the other young time lords, but the moment any authority figure asked him if he was ok he would've immediately burst into tears
Me trying to write a deca fic for the hundredth time in a row: ok I can write their personalities well enough!!! Bruh…wtf is going on with the timelines…what canon should I follow…was this fact fanon or was this something I read somewhere in the novels…should I use this storyline from the tv show regarding the academy even if it doesn’t make sense within what’s canon to EU…what the hell is going on with their appearances…are they teens? are they children? do they look like fifty years olds? If they’re all time lords why the title that the academy gives them is also time lords couldn’t they pick another name 😩? Is this description of this character accurate or is this just how I pictured them in my head and now they’re someone else 😭 fine I’ll write nothing as always

i don't really read fics, but yeah - theta is a little bastard. he canonically scraped through his academy exams with a 51%, failed his driving test, and was born into an extremely wealthy and powerful family. he's basically that rich kid who (nearly) flunked high school and crashed his dad's car on a joyride.
i'll admit that he had plenty of positive traits - pacifism, curiosity, creativity, bravery, etc. while it's true that he killed another student (torvic) and destroyed the body to avoid punishment, it was after years of violent bullying and it was on koschei's behalf. but he's definitely a far cry from cute, pure, or innocent.
if anything, koschei (the master) was the "better" of the two. he was a disciplined star pupil and a bit meeker than theta. they were both problem-causing little shits, of course, but theta was twice as much of a mess.
Like I said - academy era brainrot.
I had fun coming up with uniforms for them! I wanted to do my own design because, well, I like designing things! Koschei wears the full uniform in this one, while Theta is wearing a more 'casual' version - meaning the coattails are removed and he's rolled up the sleeves!

I don't usually hop on to trends like this but the moment I saw it I thought oh yeah. That's totally them. I've not seen an academy era version yet but I did see a tensimm one which coincidentally was the other way around.
