Summary:Everyone seems to be so eager to see the cute barista, including Jungkook, but luck doesn’t seem to be on his side. So, what if he creepily followed him on his break?

It seemed to be a regular day for Jungkook. He woke up, got ready and started his day. On his way though, he noticed something different. A new coffee shop had opened and there seemed to be a huge line, people wanting to support the new place. He wasn't planning to actually go, especially because he hated waiting in line for that long. However there was something that caught his attention.
Whispers were heard coming from girls, about how cute the male barista was. He was now really curious to see how cute that barista could be to impress that many people. So he waited. And waited. Until it was finally the time to order.
To his dismay he was met with the face of a girl, the other barista nowhere to be seen. He tried to hide his frown as he ordered a coffee and left as quickly as he could, disappointed.
Jungkook moved on with his day, occupying himself with other stuff as he tried not to think about what happened earlier today. But of course, Jungkook can’t let something like that slide.
He decided to visit the same coffee shop the next day. Again, had to wait in a really long line, but this time he overheard something from the people in front of him that made him want to stomp his foot like a child.
"I came yesterday and there was a cute guy, the barista I was talking about. But I heard that today he has a day off, which is really unfortunate." She said to the group and a bunch of "aw man" and "That’s too bad" were heard from her friends.
Jungkook thought it would be too weird if he randomly left after waiting for so long, so he stayed and ordered, again leaving disappointed.
This couldn't be happening. It was so annoying. He just wanted to see his dumb face and go. At first it was just out of curiosity but now that he kept missing the chance to see him, he felt determined. He will eventually get to see him, he can’t be that unlucky.
The next days were really busy for him meaning that he couldn't visit the coffee shop and it really bumped him. He couldn't focus on any task. His only thought was the barista that he had yet to meet. It was obvious to everyone else that something was on his mind. Jungkook was determined to see him.
So the next day he woke up earlier than usual. Trying to avoid the line but to also avoid the barista's break like the first time.
There was still a long line but not compared to the previous days. So he waited. As he reached closer and closer, he tried to take a look at the barista. Lucky for him he saw him there. But he was still far. He did seem really attractive though.
Jungkook panicked when he saw someone come from the back and motion him to take a break just as it was his turn to order. He said his order to the other barista as quickly as possible and paid, rushing to go to the back to find the barista.
He has to admit, he didn’t think much about it before going, the only time he let himself act impulsively. He was met with a sight he wasn’t expecting.
The barista had sat on an old chair, smoking a cigarette, letting his head fall back as he let the smoke out. Jungkook could swear his heart skipped a beat at the sight. The barista noticed him first and gave an awkward smile.
"Can I help you?" He asked and Jungkook shuddered after hearing his voice. "I..." Jungkook trailed off not knowing what to say.
"I'm (y/n)" he said and let out his hand for Jungkook to shake. "Jungkook" he relpied and shook his hand.
The barista's palm was so soft, it made Jungkook hold it for quite a little longer. He felt so awkward. He didn’t know what to say.
"I'm really sorry, but my break is coming to an end so I have to go back." (Y/n) threw the cigarette away and Jungkook nodded.
"I don’t have a programme yet, but I guess I’ll work in the mornings and my break will be around this hour. So if you would like, you can come again tomorrow at this time so we could talk." He continued and Jungkook nodded again as the man smiled and went back inside leaving Jungkook alone.
How could he come back tomorrow after this embarrassing interaction?
Jungkook pondered over what to wear for a little too long, but he was just in time, as he saw the barista pull out a chair. (Y/n) waved at him and brought a second chair for Jungkook to sit.
"Good morning. I made you coffee, it's on the house" (y/n) said and Jungkook blushed.
"You didn’t have to" he softly let out and the barista laughed a little.
"It’s okay, I wanted to do it anyway. Do you mind if I smoke?" He asked and Jungkook shook his head 'no'.
He wasn’t prepared to see the hot sight of him smoking again but he knew he couldn’t avoid it.
"So, Jungkook, tell me, how come you followed me back here yesterday?" He confidently asked and Jungkook gulped.
"To be honest, I don’t know what came over me. I acted impulsively and didn’t think of what to do next. I'm sorry if I creeped you out. I had just heard people talk about you and was really curious to see you. Then every time I came here, for a random reason I didn’t see you and it made me determined. So when I saw you leaving for your break when I was about to order I panicked." He rambled and (y/n) just nodded along and let out a small laugh again.
"I see. Well, I don’t mean to sound cocky but I did notice those people staring at me and talking about me. I'm glad that you were the only one out of them that was confident to talk to me. It seemed as if they were afraid to say anything after ordering. It was weird. I'm just a simple person. Not some celebrity or something. So I'm glad you practically saw me as a normal person and came up to me." (Y/n) admitted and Jungkook could just nod, at loss of words.
Silence followed and (y/n) took another drag of his cigarette, letting the smoke out in the same way as the first time Jungkook saw him and Jungkook’s heart had the same reaction as then.
Soon, his break was again coming to an end and he apologised, Jungkook shaking his head.
"It’s okay, I understand, this is work." He said and got up. The barista took out a paper from his pocket.
"Here is my number, we can meet again and this time for longer, so that we actually get to talk." (Y/n) said and Jungkook opened his hand to take it.
"I hope you text me soon" he said and walked inside leaving Jungkook a blushing mess.

Y/N has always been a competitive guy, maybe that's why he and Jungkook attracted each other. During games he yells, make playful comments and is very close to swearing at his losses. Jungkook is more of a focused competitor, but competitive none the less. Jungkook and the boy are similar and opposite in all the right ways. Both the youngest of the group, but y/n just a bit younger than Jungkook. Both of them seem to he very skilled, like playing games and teasing the oldest.
Which is exactly what led to this moment.
"He said what?" Jungkook jumps up from his seat, eyes already focused on the door, wanting nothing more than to find his hyung.

It happened during the filming op run bts, episode 17 and 18 to be specific. The famous arcade episodes. After playing the dancing and basketball games they moved on to the racing game. And y/n being the competitive guy he is wanted nothing more than to beat his hyungs. He won from Yoongi, which was a relatively calm race considering how verbal y/n usually gets. And then he had to go against Jin, which was actually really close and full of surprises. Just as it seemed Jin was having a lead y/n got ahead of him, but Jin switched those positions back very quickly. This happened quite a few times before y/n did end up winning with just a second.
As the boys were cheering and talking y/n heard Jin mutter something under his breath, a small smile apparent on his face though. So, nothing serious.

"It's fine Jungkook, he just lost the game and was probably still heated from the race. It's nothing bad." Y/N explains, hoping to keep his boyfriend from scolding the eldest, knowing fully well how protective Jungkook is over him.

Y/N's first reaction is to reassure the oldest and tell him its fine, but decides against it. He wants to see him this plays out. "You don't even remember being rude to him?" Jungkook's voice is laced in disbelief. Y/N feels the urge to laugh, loving how serious Jungkook makes it seem and that Jin seems to belief it as well. After a few seconds of Jin trying to realize what he did wrong Jungkook speaks up again. "Earlier, at the arcade. You said some mean stuff to y/n. He won and you were being a sore loser, now apologize." Jungkooks tone gets a big more aggressive and y/n wonders if he is actually taking this as serious as he makes it seem. Jin's mouth makes an o-shape and looks back at y/n with unsure eyes. "I didn't realize it was that bad. It was in the heat of the moment, excuse me. I'm sorry." His apologize comes out sincere and he slightly bows his head. Y/N chuckles at that and shakes his head, "it's fine, hyung."

Summary: a young male, y/n, debuts into bighit. The boys from BTS take it upon themselves to help and guide him, but one of them in particular seems to take a liking to the shy boy.
Y/N Y/L/N, latest addition to the bighit "family" as some might call it. A shy and kind, but talented boy. But then again, how couldn't he be talented if he was allowed to debut? It was a surprise to the boy as well, his audition not having gone the way he hoped for. But luckily they saw potential, and looked through the mistakes he made.
During his tour through the bighit building they'd show him where the other artists work, so he'd know where to stay quiet, and where he is to work on his songs. A few days later is when he ran into some txt members, Soobin and Taehyun. They all politely greeted each other and got to talking for a bit, the main topic being y/n's upcoming debut. They gave him some encouraging words, and a bit of advice based on their experiences, and then went on to join their other members, leaving y/n alone to wander back to his studio.
A week after that is when y/n first ran into Jungkook, literally. The older boy seemed to be in a hurry and didn't look when he turned a corner, bumping into y/n, causing him to fall over. Jungkook exclaimed in surprise and quickly bent down to help the small boy up. "I'm so sorry, I was in a rush and wasn't looking where I was going." Yoongi is the type to listen to the boy rant for a bit, maybe not giving advice, but the fact that he listens can be enough. Hoseok is the one that has assisted him with the choreography for the debut. Namjoon as a leader knows a lot about responsibility, and as a solo artist you'll have to face a lot of stress and responsibilities. So he gives advice and tips concerning all that. Jimin and Taehyung aren't people y/n runs into a lot, but when they do its all so natural. They talk and have fun, making y/n forget about all of his stress for a little bit.
But the one to have been there the most is Jungkook. And to be fair, y/n always goes to him the most, feeling the most comfortable around him. See, y/n is a very shy person, so approaching someone for any reason at all isn't a common accurance and is very hard for him. But Jungkook is one of the few people he would dare ask if needed. Y/N flushes, keeping his eyes on the screen in front of him. "I am." He whispers. He sounds very unstable and shaky, sounding like he might fall apart any minute. Jungkook sighs softly, turning the chair the boy in sitting on and kneeling, getting to his eye level. He gets close and lays his hands on the boys knees, taking note of how y/n looks anywhere but him. So to create eye contact he lifts one hand to the boys chin and turns his head to his. "Its okay, its been 7 years and I still get nervous when we drop an album, it's natural. But you'll be okay, people will love it." He smiles, dropping his hand to y/n's shoulder instead. This seems to cause the boy to feel flustered, as his ears turn a bright red and he chuckles nervously. "Thank you, Hyung." He stutters out. Jungkook laughs and pulls the boy up from the chair and into a hug. "Anytime."

"Whatcha working on?" Y/N startles at the sudden voice behind him, but doesn't turn around. Instead he keeps drawing. "Some sketches for upcoming mv ideas." He softly tells Jungkook.
Y/N is still that shy small boy around Jungkook. He still speaks softly, stutters and gets flustered by almost anything Jungkook does. And for some reason it drives Jungkook to him, he finds his responded cute, endearing. He loves it and purposely draws them out. Like this
"Hmm, like what?" He comes closer, almost standing against the back of the chair y/n is in, and lays his hands on the boys shoulders.
