This guy is probably one of my favorite OCs of 2023. @acapriciouscandleghost had me make a Space Marine based off of Kurt Cobain for my homebrew Warhhamer TTRPG, and now we have Qurtas Cobanus, last of the Lamenters and Himbo Supreme. I didn't initially use any references for him, but I think I did a good job translating Dear Mister Cobain to the 41st Millenium

Popular culture crafts shimmering disembodied hero brands for us to worship. We create a cultural currency by declaring that our subscriptions to these various brands are a reflection of our identities and hold value. While the relationships with these brands feel real, we don't personally know the human beings behind the characters. Their deaths merely become an ironic rebirth into the realm of pop immortality.

The fact that today is both the 30th anniversary of Kurt Cobain's death and the 50th anniversary of Carrie, Stephen King's first novel's release is quite perturbing to me, and I don't know why.
