why did everyone suddenly decide to ignore the beauty of languages? or was it my community only? people see patterns in science, but isn't it the same in learning a language?

english has many rules and exceptions and after thoroughly learning them over several years, i can say it's incredibly absorbing. every time i know what article, preposition, or structure to use, i feel a small sense of satisfaction and the fire of knowledge ignites within me. it's not a game of chance, but isn't it strange how some people can just feel what's right?

and oh, the power words hold. the poems of the greatest writers have caused civilizations to kneel down, letters from loved ones never fail to reach the depths of our souls and a single word spontaneously uttered in the middle of an argument can shatter even the strongest relationships

there is a variety of writing: academic, journalism, classics, non-fiction... everything is unique in its own way. sometimes, just sometimes, after remembering all these things, I feel less bitter about not being a person of science
