thoughts and hcs of a lawyer s/o for xyx? and possibly the other love interests?
Here you go, I don't know much about lawyers so it's short, hope you enjoy it anyways.
So he's impressed no matter what you do but learning your a lawyer all he thinks is-
“That's so much work, and words.”
Well the not true he also thinks-
“I wanna see what they wear for court.”
He thinks formal wear is cool, even if it's not for him.
He gets worried a lot though, whether it is about your clients or how much work you do it makes him sad to see you work so hard.
He loves picking fake fights, small innocent ones, he loves how you act like it's as important as if you were in front of a judge. He likes watching you crack when he makes an argument that almost has nothing to do with what you said.
“And that's why you can't wear socks with sandals.”
“Okay but consider this, my last piece of evidence.”
You wait for him to continue as he pulls up his phone, a photo of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson on it.
“Wh-what?”
“The Rock!”
You burry your face in your hands at your boyfriend’s antics.
He finds it kind of admirable, he remembers not having a lawyer who cared for his case, so seeing you put care into every case you work on, he loves it.
When he sees you working hard he worries but he also knows that your work is important. When you overwork yourself he definitely stops you but other than that he likes to do his best to help.
He makes sure you haven't forgotten to eat or drink water, and every once in and while he'll make you your favorite hot drink.
“Angel?”
“Yeah?”
You weren't actually paying attention to him, too focused on the case in front of you. You hear as a mug is set down at your workspace.
“I made you something to help.”
You soften as you finally turn away from your work.
“Thank you, I love you.”
You kiss him before taking a sip of your drink.
“Only for my angel.”
You turn back to your work.
He doesn't like getting into arguments with you, because it hurts both his heart and brain.
What he does love is watching you argue with others that deserve it. He blushes whenever you protect him with your word over violence, it makes him feel special and proud.
Toasty gets the most worried about your work, watching you work makes him stress out, they can only imagine how bad it is for you.
I think you'd have to explain why you're a lawyer. They just don't understand why you would torture yourself. But he understands better when you explain to him, or you win a case you wanted to.
He asks you for pointers with his company, especially when offered buyouts. Sure he has his own layer but they trust you and your opinion.
They've definitely asked if you want to work for them, even if you don't specialize in that area, he doesn't quite realize how many different lawyers there are.
Gets both frustrated and flustered when you use lawyer words in an exchange with him. It was a joke, and they don't know what you're saying and know they feel like they're losing…a conversation.
One thing he does enjoy is watching you get frustrated at false representation, whether it is a movie or even a game, it makes him smile.
You fall back on the couch next to toasty, finished with your rant…for now.
“It- it just- it’s wrong.”
You let out another frustrated sigh. Toasty's arm going behind your shoulder, rubbing your arm, laughing at you.
“Are you laughing at me?”
He blushes
“No. yes, you just- you look…cute when you’re angry.”
The last part of their sentence is barely loud enough for you to hear it over the movie.
The lawyer himself.
Arguments are never serious, not really. You act seriously using proper terms and all that but it over the smallest thing with the strangest evidence.
You guys are always able to find the fun, even if it is not together.
You notice he’s not having the best time, so you try and change that. And he does the same for you.
He won't tell you but he loves working around you. You at one end of the table and him on the other. He'll tease you saying you're too distracting but it's a lie, he's more distracted if your not there and he doesn't know where or what you're doing.
Lawyer pick up lines, all the time.
“Do you have a lawyer? Cause you stole my heart.”
“That was not your best one, I’m a little disappointed in you.”
Xyx’s hand flies to his chest with a hard thud, you ignore him and continue.
“And no, I’ll be fine representing myself. It's important I open up with the fact you don't have a heart.”
Xyx clutches his shirt.
“Cruel love, just cruel.”
You drop the act as you laugh.
“I'm only kidding Xyx.”
“Were you?”
“Will you ever forgive me?”
Xyx puts on a show, pretending to think, along with an overdone discovery moment.
“Ahh, I'll forgive you, but it will cost you.”
“And what would that be?”
You ask knowing exactly what he was going to say.
“A kiss.”
You oblige and pull your boyfriend in for a kiss.
