I walk forward towards tomorrow with arms outstretched. Not that I could escape the dawn anyways.
about 25% of my team was laid off yesterday. i was only told this morning because i was out sick.
my team leads got ahead of the layoffs and set up meetings with other employers, so i am not currently in danger.
i will miss working with my team. i will not miss working for their corporation.
good morning! i was laid off today.
taking this opportunity between work to clean up my messes because good god i let things get out of control while work had me in a proverbial chokehold
and i mean all kinds of messes โ physical, digital, mental, interpersonal, it's REALLY piled up on me and i'm so happy to patch things up!!
i had an interview today and i knew i was confident going in but i did not expect them to just straight up tell me "yeah you're good we're advancing you to the second round of interviews" halfway through the allotted interview time
the skysometric layoffs arc is finally coming to a close...!!
the flipside of this is that i know what my salary will be, and the recruiter there will try to get me interviews for other already-funded positions. so it's still a waiting game, but at least there's some solid hope now!
i heard back.
I GOT THE JOB!!!
...if their proposal goes through. which should be "any day now." but also no one has a clue when that might be.
