New Wave Music has release a surprise statement today (March 16th) announcing the official departure of LOOPiN’s Beomseok from the company and the group.
It reads as follows:
Hello, this is New Wave Music.
Beomseok, who’s been a member of LOOPiN up until now, has terminated his contract and will no longer be part of the group moving foward.
On October 2022, with the full aquisition of the members contracts made by our company after our creative departure with a former colaborator, we came to the agreement with 9 out of the then 10 members to revise past amendmends and resign for more three years. After much consideration and a two month long discussion, Beomseok has decided to not renew his contract and cease all activities as a member of LOOPiN as of March 2023.
We thank Beomseok for the five years he has given us, and we wish nothing but personal fullfilment in his journey moving foward. We hope fans will share the same sentiment, accept our apologies for the sudden news, and look foward to the future of LOOPiN with whatever shape the lineup might take.
Beomseok has also written a personal letter uploaded on Fab, his personal Instagram account and the group’s official Twitter regarding the news:
To my iNSYNCS,
It’s been hard to condense everything I want to say in a single letter. I have decided to be brief.
The decision to leave the group might seen abrupt looking from an outside perspective, but if I have to be honest, it’s been a long time coming. My heart hasn’t been set on music for a long time. I have already lived all my teenage dreams thanks to every single one of you, but now I find myself with new goals, and none of them include being an Idol for any longer then I already have. I wish I could have been honest with myself and others sooner, so I wouldn’t hurt anyone with those news now.
To my members and to my fans who have looked after me with such care for so long, from the bottom of my heart I say: thank you for all the love and support you’ve trusted on me. Thanks to it, my years with LOOPiN will be forever engraved in my mind and in my heart as some of my happiest. I’m forever grateful and indept to you.
As of what will come next for me, I don’t know for sure yet. But the certainty I have is that I won’t be in the public eye, anymore. The entertainment industry is no longer the right place for me. I trust our fans to understand and respect my wish.

With LOOPiN recently wrapping up the promotions for their second full album ‘Set For Sale’, and with strong rumors of a repackage already in filming stage, the departure has shocked iNSYNCs and stans alike.
