Link X Zelda - Tumblr Posts

Thinking about BotW/TotK Zelda having a full break down if she were to learn that Link had died. Have a little thing made of Angst.

A year or two after things had finally settled down, Link and Zelda started to actually get to know eachother again. They rode wherever they could, exploring Hyrule again. Things began to change when they settled in the Castle, though.

Zelda and Link always went on a walk early in the morning. Recently, Link had started moving slower on these walks and had to stop halfway through to catch his breath. Zelda thought nothing of it at the time.

Two weeks later and it was worse. He had light bags under his eyes and didn't look so good, but after some insistent signing he made her accept it. He was ever slower, stopping frequently. Even as they walked, his breathing was ragged and strained.

A month went by, and Link had began to let Zelda get ahead on their walks. He stopped anytime he could. He keep insisting that he was fine, but Zelda didn't buy it anymore.

Then she had to spend some time in Gerudo to help Riju. Zelda didn't expect what she a greeted with when she got back.

Usually, Link would be at the castle doors like a dog greeting it's owner. Zelda was instead met with silence. She creeper around, but none of the guards knew anything. She went to check on Link and all she saw was him on the floor in a heap, not breathing. His pulse was gone.

His funeral didn't have many people. Just the Champions and Purah. Everyone was silent the whole time, keeping in tears.

When Zelda arrived in her bedroom she feel to the floor, sobbing. For a fleeting moment, she felt a hand on her shoulder and someone kissing her forehead. The warmth that radiated off of this being comforted her. It was familiar.

Zelda would never know that was Link. Even in death, he tried to comfort her. To let her know that she wasn't alone yet.

Today we celebrate Christmas here in Norway, so in honor of the day, here is my Secret Santa gift that I made for Joiski 🥰

He requested Ocarina of Time Link and Zelda in winter outfits, do ofc I made a romantic twist 🤣🙏 I won't lie, I had the biggest crush on OoT Link as a young girl 😂 It was delightful to revisit so many fond memories ✨
