So Odin's original plan for Loki was to be a simbol of unity and peace between kingdoms... Remind me again how royal families unify kingdoms? Oh that's right, through marriage. Marriage between the prince of Asgard and the prince of Jotunheim maybe?

But for that plan to work, Loki should have known about his past. He should have know he was a frost giant because it would have been a public knowledge. Maybe not from the beginning but Odin would have had to tell him at some point.

But that's not the case. At least not in the sacred timeline.

So... Who do we know that didn't follow the sacred timeline's plan and was raised in Asgard knowing about their past? Sylvie, maybe?

In conclusion: Sylvie was engaged to Thor in her timeline.

I love this concept with all my heart

In the days Loki was king, well, as Odin, he felt the struggles of ruling. When he wasn’t writing plays, he had to make sure the people were surviving.

Very boring task.

But he loved it. He loved these people. They had never hated him. Not like…

He liked to think he was a good king. Even if they didn’t know it was him.

The days were busy but the nights were beautiful. The stars of other galaxies filled the sky. Asgard might rule but they knew nothing of the beauty and wonder of the universe.

Loki and Thor had often said they would travel together. See the stars that they had to memorize for their study’s.

Late at night, when the rest of the kingdom was asleep, Loki sat outside. In his own skin. And he looked at the stars. Dreamed of impossible things. Sometimes he would conjure an image of his mother and talked to her. Sometimes his brother but mostly mum.

Mother had taught him witch magic. Some of that magic was magic concerning the future. Every so often he would look. Small glimpses here and there, but enough to make him feel… peace. The glimpses were always strange.

Thor and him working together, saving Asgard from something terrible, together. Once Loki saw a kind, gray haired man. Loki’s pretty sure that he loves the man a lot.

The glimpses aren’t all happy though.

Something dark was coming. Something evil, destructive, dark was on its way. In a few years, Asgard would be gone. Loki wasn’t sure how, but it would happen.

Loki would never admit this to anyone but he was scared. He loved these people and this place. He never hated Asgard. He hated Odin. Sometimes Thor but never Asgard, never the people. He never wanted them get hurt.

But they would. He knew this. He might as well keep trying to make them comfortable. And safe. For a bit at least.

Maybe Thor would be proud of him then.

My headcanon for an AU where Loki grows up on Jötunheimr, is that he'd be more of a scholar than a warrior.

I don't know if it's the most likely scenario, but I do love the "nod to his Jötunn heritage / blue skin" version. After all he did write that play where the poor little Jötunn boy is rescued by Odin and had it put on stage for all of Asgard to see.

So maybe by the point he has come to terms with his heritage and no longer tries to hide it.

And that yellow cape is definitely a homage to Frigga.

Reasons why Loki’s costume might be blue:

- To represent a sadder Loki at this point in his character arch

- The yellow is a homage to his mother, Frigga

- He is “Peacocking” to gain the attention of the Grandmaster

- Could be a nod to his Jotun heritage / blue skin

Loki Series Headcannons

because why not?

-Loki’s Pansexual. I know this was already touched upon in the series, but it was so brief that it didn’t mean much. In Asgard, gender and sexuality aren’t really a defining thing. Sure, the Asgardians know what they are but they don’t really care.

-Mobius was a jet ski nerd. I feel like whoever Mobius was before the TVA was the 90’s equivalent of a sneaker head, and habe a silly mental picture of Mobius hugging his favorite jetski, and talking to them like pets.

-Loki and Mobius developing a brotherly bond during their time at the TVA. We never really see what happens betwen all of the research that they do, but I imagine that they became close in the constant hours of doing things, WHICH MAKES THE FINALE SO MUCH SADDER.

-Sylvie being more of a touchy-feely person in relationships (due to her never having enough time to make a bond with anyone while apocalypse-hopping,) while Loki being more of a romantic gestures person, (from growing up with Thor always trying to literally drag him to training when he wanted to read,) but them both respecting each others boundaries.

-Hunter B-15 mourning all of the people she kills. This one is a little sad, but since we already know that she keeps track of them, it isn’t much if a stretch to assume she thinks about them and remembers who they are.

HC that Loki dyes his hair black even though they have absolutely no reason to do-so as a literal shapeshifter, same with her painting his nails or literally ANY cosmetics .. like yeah they COULD shapeshift, but where’s the fun in that?

Bonus points if she forces Thor / Fandral / Mobius / whoever to help dye their hair or whatever else
