Jotun mate AU! (sort of)

Loki works with the Avengers, and during a fight, while surrounded by ruins and enemies, he freezes. He begins to sniff the air, he smells something… Something that attracts him. Something important.

He then runs, even though Thor tells him to stay, he walks into a half-destroyed building, he lifts rocks, and he finds someone. Injured, unconscious, but alive. Loki doesn’t know why, but he has to save this person. He must. They are his ! His !

Unfortunately he is too weak after the fight to use his powers and heal them. However, without understanding why, he refuses to let someone touch them. The Avengers are almost forced to fight him and tie him up for him to let go of the injured person.

In the hospital, Thor tries to speak with Loki, who is not very coherent. He himself does not understand what is happening to him. As soon as he thinks of this person, he goes crazy. He must be with them, to protect them. They must not be touched, injured or taken away by someone !

Thor promises him on his honor that everything will be fine. He will be able to see them when they are awake and when Loki is calm.

Meanwhile, of course, Loki doesn’t obey his brother, he escapes his bedroom to find his mate, still asleep, and when the Avengers find out, he finds him on the hospital bed, purring and hugging his mate, and then hissing and conjuring a knife when they try to approach.

Even when his mate wakes up, and panics a bit, he refuses to let go, even though he apologizes, saying that he can’t leave them, that he has to protect them.

Everyone then looks for a way to calm him down, hoping that there is one…
