Flower husbands has the mermaid coral kid give his former husband a pufferish of peace I mean come on. Not only is it their running gag but it's so much more symbolic with the sea motif here. Jimmy's a bad boy but he's really not that bad, he just likes the clothes and being a lil reckless, and Scott's a mean gill but he's not all that mean. The whole prep x punk. When Jimmy asks to kill Scott for time and Scott says I love you,,, YOU KNOW
Desert duo knows each other like a native language at this point, in the way Scar immediately knows the bread bridge is dangerous and Grian has to lie perfectly about it. They murder each other because that's what they know how to do and yet Scar apologizes for killing Grian when he couldn't defend himself. Still, Grian is the one to take Scar out of the series. It's Grian not knowing who to team with after the bad boys are gone but knowing he cannot team with Scar. It's Scar recognizing his parents in himself and Grian and trying to stay far, far away from that.
Majorwood is majorwood what can I tell you. It's winner x frequent finalist. Scott has started to win so many times that he has to throw after Last Life, and Martyn knows teaming with him is his best shot. The way Scott knows Martyn’s birthday and encourages him to celebrate. Yeah
Cletho is the divorced couple of the series and they act like it. They hate each other, they're everything to each other. Neither of them can stop talking about each other, and both of them want to end each other so bad. The casual insults that only arise from comfort around the other. Etho’s spiel about them after his entire family has died, and you can hear how he hesitates before throwing the insults to the empty wind.

The Sea Prince
Mean Gills / Majorwood AU dump
While I work on my Flower Husbands highschool au, Coral Reefs and Cigarettes, my mind drifted to a more fantastical AU for my second favorite ship, majorwood!
General Ideas I’d want to explore and characters I’d love to write will be here, starting with the main premise:
Martyn is the second mate to the infamous sea monster hunters in all of the seas, Joel and Grian. Despite their crew’s reputation, they have yet to slay one of the most elusive creatures of the ocean: a sea prince. Large, terrifying beasts that can destroy the largest of ships and leave nothing in its wake. Folktale suggests that there have only been seven sea princes that rule the oceans, but none have lived to tell the tale.
One of the unfortunate victims has been the third captain of the crew: Jimmy.
Searching and desperate for answers, Joel and Grian’s crew set out to find and kill a sea prince. If not for the glory and reward, but for their brother. This all crashes as the ship gets flung into a small, almost empty island as Martyn has experienced something no one has able to have been: stare a sea prince straight in the eyes.
The problem is, how can those eyes be the same one as the cute tavern owner he’s been flirting with?
Obviously, Scott is gonna be a sea prince! Martyn is the first (and perhaps not the last) person to realize that the gigantic monsters of the sea look more human than he thought.
I’m not sure who the other princes would be (prince is a gender neutral term, so Pearl and Cleo are also good contenders if y’all would want a sea fight between them + Scott) and the rest of the server are either on the small island with Scott as locals or on the crew! We could also slot in people like Mumbo, Ren (who I plan to be a dead lover oof), and Lizzie (who could be a sea prince too? >:) ) for the rest of the players to be in here!
