Pairing- Marcus Pike x fem!reader

Summary- You decide to surprise Marcus with breakfast and coffee, of course nothing goes to plan. (Featuring a healthy dose of cat shenanigans too.)

Warnings- Food mention, allusions to sex but no actual smut or anything more explicit than some kissing, I try to keep things as vague as possible in terms of reader body type descriptions etc. but there is a moment where she wears Marcus’ shirt.

It’s late when you get back to the apartment block. The date had been somewhat spontaneous, Marcus had a rough few days at work so you’d taken it upon yourself to do something to take his mind off things. It seemed to be working if the carefree smile on his face was any indication. You’re standing in the hallway between your apartment and his; hand in hand and still laughing about how terrible the movie had been.

“I should go.” You say, disappointment evident in your voice, “If we stay out here chatting much longer Mrs. Jones will definitely have some complaints in the morning.” You nod your head towards her apartment a few doors down the hall.

“Ah, well we don’t want that.” He chuckles, leaning in to give you a kiss. The goodbye kisses are something you’ve come to expect, but it never fails to make your heart flutter in your chest, “Goodnight.”

“Night, Marcus.”
