“Blumenjubiläum, 10 Jahre DoKomi”

The DoKomi is the biggest anime-convention in Germany. And guess what, their holding a drawing contest! The subject is the headline above; soooo, to celebrate their 10th birthday, I’ve drawn two mascots of the DoKomi (those two sweet maids) holding a big birthday cake with sparklers (and another mascot on it ;))!! I’m very excited for the DoKomi and hope that this drawing is good enough that it may win me a price :D. But what really counts is that is was so much fun to draw (aaand rather difficult). I hope you’ll like it too :)<3

Clothes swap
How about drawing 2000s-era Chuck E and 2010s-era Chuck E together with their clothes swapped? I imagine them having trouble with their pants (2010s Chuck E's would be too big and they'd fall off of him, while 2000s Chuck E is trying to figure out how to put his on) 😋

I've finally got to making the ref sheet for my magical girl oc Precious Pretty Paw's mascot/companions, Birch (American Beaver), Taffy (Green Python), and Plum (Purple Parakeet)!
They are May Hillbarrow's (PPP's civilian form) beloved pets that were gifted to her over the course of three years when she was 10 to 12 years old, first Plum, then Taffy, and lastly Birch. They all have a very close friendship due to the time they've spent together
Ever since May became Precious Pretty Paw and gained her powers, she has become closer than ever to her animal pals and talks to them and hangs out with them pretty much 27/4, even in her civilian form, no matter how strange it may make her look at first glance
Birch is very much the little brother type who is child-like, playful, loyal, sweet, kind hearted and loves trying to help in any way he can, even if at times he can be overexcited going about it, he loves to eat and trying to be as much like a human child as possible. He also sees May/PPP as a big sister of sorts
Taffy is the calm, wise and sage-like mentor type with a smug streak to him, being one to give advice but will not be afraid to laugh at you with a sly smirk if you fail to heed it, nor will he really try to stop you from mistaking your mistake either. He loves to read, drink tea and wishes to socialize with high society big honchos
Plum is very much the vain but sweet and cutesy wanna-be princess type, half the time either looking at her own reflection, flaunting or cleaning her feathers, or even trying on the make-up she's able to get her claws on. She LOVES all things girly, feminine and cute, ribbons, bows and would love to be able to wear a cute frilly dress with bows and puffy things galore and longs to be a actual real genuine princess
Together when May hones her Precious Pretty Paw alter ego, the trio also gain their own magic powers in order, even if it manifests differently than PPP's, their dreams being how their powers are presented

"Sunny Suds" Advance Laundries Ltd. 1938. Maybe I shoulda used a template for the circles but these are meant to be quick n' dirty. I think he looks a little more bouncy with some "squashed" bubbles going on.
1934: I mean, they don't seem TOO bad. Though the photo kinda makes it look like something animated, so maybe that softens the visual...?
1937: OH GOD DON'T FIX WHAT ISN'T BROKEN! THEIR FACES ARE MELTING AND I CAN'T TELL IF DONALD IS STARING INTO THE CAMERA OR INTO THE VOID HELP ME (Also, the man with the hat? His expression sums things up PERFECTLY)

Okay, not that bad! At least Mickey and Minnie don't look like they have face lacerations... but those eyes...
Conclusion: I was never crazy about mascot costumes.
