Am I still in Maxvid fandom? No, not really D: Occasionally I will check some pics and fanfictions, whenever I’m in the mood, but other than that… not really.
Do I still ship Maxvid? Heck yeah, of course I still do xD! Just because I don’t post drawings or fanfictions it doesn’t mean I don’t ship it. Because I totally do haha xD!

But imo the truly awkwardest david can make max ever feel is when he says something that genuinely makes max feel appreciated, regardless of circumstances. imo feeling loved is the awkwardest feeling my dude (but like good).
The misshapen lump of clay fought Max at every turn as the boy struggled to give it form. The child-friendly pottery wheel spun slowly as gunk started to form under Max's fingernails, earning a disgusted shudder. Max grumbled to himself as he poked and prodded at the soft clay, willing it to become a mug. When it collapsed upon itself once more, Max huffed out in frustration and defeat. "Max! You are certainly taking a unique approach to mug-making!" chirped David as he wandered over to supervise the camper's progress. Max shot daggers at David momentarily as he returned to his failing arts and crafts project. David leaned in and took Max's hands in his own. "When you're shaping your clay, you're going to want to do this," he said as he guided Max's fingers along the edges of the clay. Sure enough, the ambiguous lump of clay slowly formed into the shape of a mug. Max however ignored everything the filthy camp-lover was saying. The smell of campfires, pine needles, and the faintest scent of sandalwood deodorant flooded his senses. Heat radiated from where David's chest made contact with Max. "And there you go!" David said as he flicked off the pottery wheel and admired the semi-crude piece of raw mug. The future coffee receptacle stayed in its shape as David beamed down at Max. "You'll be a regular potterysmith in no time!" he said as he patted Max on the shoulder. "Potterysmith isn't a word, David..." said a passing Gwen as she wandered about helping the campers. Her projects were more ashtray-shaped than mug-shaped, however. "I think it should be!" he said as he moved on to another camper to help them out with their pottery. Max's blush refused to go away, the heat he felt on his back now pooled in the front of his face. His eyes darted to David before shooting back to look at the mug. "Goddamnit" he hissed to himself.

Something inside David told him to do it. It told him to dress up nice and wear his best outfit; like it was a phone date. The idea of a "date" flustered David slightly but he continued in his preparations. A smart looking dark green button up shirt were matched by a pair of handsome khakis; a sharp crease hinting at David's ironing habits. He placed the phone upright on a stand and sat back in the chair. Adjusting himself, he looked at his image in the camera to make sure everything was framed nicely before switching to the video call button. It took a lot to get Max to pick up his calls, but as time passed he found Max answering more frequently. David privately hoped that Max looked forward to these as much as he did. He tittered to himself as he pressed the bright green CALL button. The video call tone chirped a couple of time before the image blossomed into view. A messy bedroom with the curtains slightly drawn was lit up with the flashing lights of a video game on a screen somewere. The sound that hit David's ears was a cacaphony of explosions, gunshots, and profanity. "Oh FUCK YOU YOU FUCKING F****T" David was instantly scandalized! The word that came out of Max's mouth were far more profane than anything he ever heard at Camp. Max, seemingly remembered that he answered a vidchat request pulled the phone into view. It looked like he propped it up on the bed against some blankets. "Oh shit sorry David I'm just in the middle of a g- YOU SPAWN CAMPING PIECE OF SHIT!" he hollered midway through his greeting. David blinked flatly as he looked back at Max. The phone was placed haphazardly; only part of Max could be seen in the video. David was able to discern that Max was crumpled on his bed in a messy, stained t-shirt and a ratty pair of boxers. It seemed that it was Max's day off and he dressed how he wanted. "Oh! I'm s-sorry Max, I can call back when it's a better time for you" he said sheepishly. Max's head flashed back into frame, shooting a semi-distracted look at the phone and at David. "No dude that's okay! You said you'd call anyways I just lost track of time" he said as his attention pulled him back to the game. "We're just nearing the end of the round hold on." David noticed that the faded t-shirt that Max was wearing was the yellow Camp Camp t-shirt that he'd often wear underneath his hood. Pride swelled in his chest, which was quickly joined by a flock of butterflies as he was tickled by the idea that Max wears the Camp Camp t-shirt. To bed, no less! A flurry of explosions and gunfire quickly gave way to a loud cheer from Max. The victory sounds were drowned out by the whooping and hollering of David's favourite camper. Max celebrated as he fell back on the bed and laughed out loud. The moment of joy was absorbed and savoured by David; he never saw this side of Max before and he was happy he could see it. David did his best to hide the blush that drowned out the freckles on his face as Max picked up the phone. Lying back on the bed, Max had David's undivided attention. "Sorry Camp Man, I was just wrapping up a game just now" he said, slightly out of breath. "And I take it you won?" David said, his words full of interest in the boy's activity. "Heck yeah dude! I totally killed it back there you should have seen it!" Max babbled on about his match and other matches before that, while David was content to listen to the excitable kid. The difference in apperances, in their manner of speaking. It was all swept aside as David smiled warmly at the phone. He could sit and listen for hours. --- OKAY STORY OVER I LIKE THE PRACTICE!
maxvid facetiming outside of camp when max is old enough to have his own phone... david sets up his phone on the table infront of him and sits all proper like a very important zoom call and max is playing a shooter game, barely in the frame, and paying as little attention to the call as possible <3 sometimes he glances at his phone though!! which is a nice little treat for david. makes his heart jump.
